We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonna Cammack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonna, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We saw a need for quality positive dog training that didn’t make owners break the bank. People should not have to choose between price and positivity. Most positive reinforcement training companies in Colorado are incredibly expensive, and we saw clients choosing aversive training simply because they could not afford an R+ company. We aimed to give clients an excellent, customized training experience without compromising price or quality. We will work with our clients and show them affordable training is possible while maintaining a force-free positive experience for them and their dogs.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We got here with teamwork, which sets us apart from the pack. We are all very different but complementary individuals. I am intense and driven, always ready to expand on our work; Lydia is highly rational and practical and keeps us on track. Savannah, while highly motivated, is incredibly kind and laid back, and she reminds us to play ourselves and enjoy this hectic time. When I encounter a roadblock, I turn to one of my partners. Between the three of us, we can overcome any challenges. We’ve all learned to be better listeners and friends through this process. We’re pretty lucky in that respect. Our brand is about building a solid relationship with your dog. I am proud to say that so far, with are modeling that well.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would hit up the big off-leash dog parks like the Westminster Hills and the Cherry Creek off-leash parks. We would start our days with some yummy Denver brunch, maybe at Syrup or Jelly. After filling up, we would be ready for our trek to the parks. I like to stay outdoors most of the day, so we could stop at the flagship REI if my friend needed supplies. As the sun sets, we would grab some BBQ at Smok in RiNo, then perhaps a movie at the pavillions.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our amazing families who have supported us every step of this journey.
