We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordyn Russo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordyn, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
As I’ve evolved as a human, a therapist, and a business owner, so have my habits. This has been a deeply conscious and intentional process, because much of my success has come from understanding and reshaping the habits that once held me back. For a long time, I lived by rigid internal rules that kept me stuck, rooted in “shoulds” that reinforced limitations rather than growth. Through self-exploration, increased self-trust, and a lot of unlearning, I began to recognize which habits no longer served me and which ones did.

The habits that helped me succeed include setting boundaries, releasing the need to carry everything alone, practicing acceptance, and listening closely to my body when something didn’t feel right. Daily practices like moving my body, checking in with myself, assessing my needs, and surrounding myself with people who replenish me have been the key to success for me. I’m passionate about helping others give themselves permission to examine their habits, let go of the ones that no longer serve them, and embrace tools that support deeper self-understanding and aligned living.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am eager to share about both of my businesses. I co-own Moving Mountains Counseling Center, which opened in 2019. In my therapy practice, I utilize somatic, trauma-informed, and compassionate approaches to support women ages 15 and up in both Colorado and Idaho. I help clients navigate life transitions, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, and self-esteem challenges. I work alongside a wonderful team and my therapy dog, Piper. Moving Mountains Counseling Center was built from a place of love and intentionality, offering a welcoming environment staffed by clinicians with over 10 years of experience who genuinely love what they do every day.

Wildflower Collective began as a passion project and has grown into a thriving collective. Although newer, it has already created many beautiful opportunities to connect and uphold its mission of community, resources, and trainings. Wildflower Collective offers events, trainings, and a supportive space where women can come together to find connection, education, tips, and resources. I am looking forward to see how it blooms.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To the mountains!

When friends come to visit, it’s always such a blast spending time together. Colorado offers so much to explore. We would start nearby in Golden by grabbing iced almond milk matchas at Humble House Coffee. Then we would take a walk along Clear Creek before enjoying lunch at Sonny’s Mediterranean. After that, we would head home to pack our bags and head to Buena Vista to camp. We would make a pit stop to natural grocers for all the snacks,

Once in Buena Vista, we would grab smoothies at Blend or Cool River and stroll by the water. We’d camp for a few nights up at Cottonwood Lake, spending much of our time on SUP boards, hiking, reading, and just hanging out.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my partner who is my rock and calm in the chaos of life. He is a hard worker, outdoor enthusiast, incredible dad and his zest for life is contagious.
