Meet Joyce Jiang | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joyce Jiang and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joyce, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind our success is our personalized service. When remodeling a kitchen or bath, every customer’s space, preference and budget are different. We provide personalized service of free measurements, free design, free estimate with the displayed material/vignette for customers to see, to touch, to feel it before they buy. And our service is very prompt/flexible/customer satisfaction driven, which is more competitive than the big stores taking forever complicated procedures, or the very expensive customized high end elite design studios. As a small business, our staff are well trained, with rich manufacturing and industry experience, keen to serve customers and care about our brand reputation. It brings better customer purchasing experience than the 8am-5pm employees whose passions are not reflected in their jobs.. We care about our customers, our brand.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I was a kitchen designer in Home Depot before I started my own business. Before this, I ran a kitchen cabinet factory in China before I immigrated to the US. When working in big stores, I know that there are more product options, better lead time and more flexible service available for the customers, yet it is quite a blank area between the big stores and expensive elite design studios. It is easy to find a designer out there, but very few of them have the product or manufacturing background. Customers rely on the professionals to tell them what to do with their kitchen and bath. So I simply display the options, tell customers the difference, and let them decide which direction they would like to go with. I provide 3D rendering for them to see how it will look. With my background, I feel confident that my store will have personalized customer service with competitive pricing compared to the big box stores. Though they will stil have the option to go elsewhere, I know I can prove to them I have all the best qualities to get their job done. I am proud of my experience, product and design knowledge, heart and soul customer service. I gained good customer reviews and have made friends with customers after taking care of their remodeling projects. ThisIS WHAT success means to me. If you treat your customers with heart and soul, they can feel it, and they will appreciate it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A few places I like to hangout the most are Windsor or Fort Collins, especially in the Summer. There are a lot of activities to do like going to the mountains, trying small airplane lessons, riding in a hot air balloon, and my personal favorite are the summer events at Windsor lake. They host the 4th of July concerts and Fireworks which brings the whole town of Windsor together. In Old Town Fort Collins, there is a wide range of bars, restaurants, and fun stores to go window shopping. Personally, First Watch breakfast and Texas roast house are my favorite places to eat.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband and my step daughter play important roles for my success. My step daughter works with me. We have built a great relationship growing this business together. She has become my best friend in work and life. I’m very grateful that I’ve been able to teach her these important business skills that will be applicable in the real world. She even said “ She has learned more from me than her four years in college” that is something I hold dear to my heart. She works hard to keep this business running smoothly with me and I am grateful to have a business partner and step daughter like her. This business has brought us closer, which is an unexpected good result. My husband is my other person to thank for the success of this business. He is always there backing me up for any business advice. He will walk across the street from his car dealer business and come to help us when he sees many cars in my parking lot. He is my coach to help me start my own business. These two have helped this business thrive in more ways than one and I couldn’t be more appreciative.
