We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Schierkolk and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
The decision to lean on my faith, and focus on personal and professional development were (and are) vital to the success of this entrepreneurial journey.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I build powerful, genuine relationships, many of which become friendships. When I know and understand the people that I serve, the deeper our level of trust becomes, and the greater the positive impact I can have on their business.
I’m most proud of the fact that we are able to give the best local businesses a voice, a place to be seen and heard, through a traditional print publication. In a world where digital and social media marketing tend to favor those with the largest budget, our friends and neighbors really struggle to get noticed, much less have a shot at a bigger peace of the pie. These are the people that have the means to provide the best service, the highest quality, and get involved in the community at a personal level. These are our friends and neighbors that sponsor our local schools and support our local nonprofits. These are the people we love and are proud and honored to serve.
How did I a get here? By articulating a vision that other people believe in and are excited to support. By trusting the process. By trusting God.
Nothing is easy. Life is either hard because we choose complacency and delusion, or it’s hard because we choose discipline, commitment, accountability, and humility. Choose your hard.
I want the world to know that I’m here to serve. I’m here to listen, understand, and help build bridges that link from where you are to where you want to be, and I’m prepared to do it through my publication, my network, and my expertise in marketing and advertising.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
