Meet Kaeyla Noble | Multimedia Creative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaeyla Noble and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaeyla, how do you think about risk?
There are so many things around us that communicate to us that we aren’t enough, we can’t do it, and we shouldn’t do it. Taking a risk as an artist is ultimately standing up for yourself and your purpose. You are actively disagreeing with all of those statements by taking the risk AND following through with it. The best way to find answers to unresolved questions is to live out the question until you find the answer. Risk can help you find those answers.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I refuse to believe that I am a niche artist. I love expressing my story, emotions, and experiences through all kinds of different mediums, whether that is painting, videography, photography, or writing is up to me to decide. I have always had a hard time not putting meaning behind the things I create. It is because of this that Noble Inspired was created. It is meant to be a space for all kinds of creative people to connect and see that they do not have to be one thing — or create one thing — and have no rules or limits. They get to decide. I am most proud of my decision to start writing my first manuscript. It’s something that requires a lot of planning, researching, and time. I have ultimately fallen in love with the process, and it has taught me to repeatedly ask myself if what I’m making makes me happy and has the potential to make someone else happy.
It’s very easy to turn off course. However, turning off course is not a waste of time and it certainly doesn’t mean that whatever you’re working on will now never get done. Through going through various phases of my artwork, I have learned that turning off course is actually good…most of the time you end up feeling inspired once you get back on track.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a rigid planner with a touch of spontaneity, my friend and I would stop by Stella’s Coffee House on Pearl St in Denver first. A good cup of coffee is always a great way to start the day. Once we have finished our coffee, I would make sure we stopped by the tattered cover by Union Station — just in case they forgot a book at home. After picking up books off the shelves — only to put them back — we will head to Boulder to go to my favorite lookout spot. Flagstaff Mountain. However, it must be noted that we would not stop at the first lookout point, but go to the second and best lookout spot at the top of the mountain.
We would finish our night off by walking around Pearl Street and getting Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Someone outside of myself that has inspired me to push forward is Leigh Bardugo. When I read her Shadow and Bones book series I was taken by how detailed, intentional, and fun her books are. I was so heartbroken when I finished the series, and it wasn’t until after I finished her series that I sat back and honestly believed I can be a published author. On top of being inspired by Leigh Bardugo, I consistently try to show up for my younger self. As I faced more and more darkness the idea that none of my ideas would come to life grew. However, the younger version of me was so stubborn. She wouldn’t let anyone tell her she couldn’t do it. I also show up for her for that reason.
