We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Frondarina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
When it comes to risk, I view it as essential for personal growth and innovation.
Risk-taking has played a pivotal role in my life trajectory by stepping out of my comfort zone living in Georgia and moving to Colorado.

We encounter risks daily, and I view Risks as hidden opportunities for self development and risk mediation. Therefore embracing risks allowed me to not only change my mindset but to live without fear of the unknown.

In my personal experience, embracing risk has allowed me to not only change my mindset but to live without fear of the unknown. The unknown is where the magic and creativity begins.

I recently made the big jump of moving cross country from Georgia to Colorado, totally stepping out of my comfort zone by moving to a new city. However, I am excited to explore and make new connections and start this new chapter in life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I do not have a traditional career path, instead I started diving into the workforce straight after High school and throughout college to gain experience. I’ve had a plethora of different types of jobs that allowed me curate skills that got me to where I am to day.

What sets me apart from others is that I’ve always shown up with my best foot forward. As a reliable employee for various types of businesses and roles, I got to where I am now through changing my mindset about the work and impact that I leave behind.

What I am most proud about is being able to push through all work adversity and step up to the role as manager to a medical facility. Being able to lead, facilitate, and guide both patients and employees definitely was a challenge in itself. Pushing through Covid, I made a significant decision to change my career path to something that fit my work-life balance needs by transitioning to a fully remote role with Mental Health Provider.

I learned that it is most important to put yourself first and really nourish and stick up for your boundaries. Understanding your worth starts from within and will shine in all the work that you put out in the world. In essence, valuing my own self-worth has been crucial, allowing me to manifest positive intentions and witness the fruits of my labor. Through my brand, I hope to continue to motivate others to push through their own challenges in all aspects in their life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am definitely a explorer at heart that loves hiking outside of the city. For a week long trip, our itinerary would include a range of fun and random activities. My first view to oversee would start with Red Rock Park and Amphitheater in the early morning then eat at Bao Brewhouse. My second trip would be to explore the Meow Wolf Denver Immersive Art museum to experience a unique storyline to save the universe. There-after deserving a dinner at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse.

My favorite location is a 1-2 day trip to Black Canyon Mountain, which is one of the most beautiful and peaceful scene, more than a 3hr drive from Denver. The exceptional views along the route were so eclectic on each side of the canyon, which takes about an hour just to drive to the opposite side.

After that experience, I would explore Grand Junction and the views of that city elevation. On the way back to Denver, it would be lovely to reserve a spot at the Strawberry Park Hot Springs in Steamboat Springs, CO. There we can soak in the views but also dip in a hot natural, mineral mountain spring water in a man-made pool.

Finally, we would spend a moment at Maroon Bells scene to see a breath-taking landscape of Aspens woodlands, lake, and mountains. If there was more time, then the last roadtrip would be to Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve to experience the night and see the clearest views of the stars in the night sky.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The contributors of my success stems from the work ethic of my parents and being willing to work hard to get what you want in life. Remaining dedicated to living everyday with purpose and balance.

Aligning with my purpose kept me motivated to pursue my passions. Life changing books include “Living a Spiritial Life in a Material World” by Anna Gatmon and “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise L. Hay. My favorite motivational speakers are Jim Rohn who simplify changing ones mindset in the pursue of happiness.
