We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kayla, how do you think about risk?
I see risk as an essential catalyst for growth. Only through taking risks, have I learned that every meaningful achievement in life and career involves stepping into the unknown, embracing uncertainty, and being willing to fail forward.
For me, taking risks has meant choosing opportunity over comfort—whether that’s starting something new, changing direction, or investing in myself when the outcome wasn’t guaranteed. Risk-taking has opened doors I didn’t even know existed and has taught me resilience, adaptability, and trust in my own decision-making.
I believe that embracing risk, and keeping faith, is an essential part of the human experience. It’s something we all deserve to create space for in our lives. For me, the role that risk has played—and continues to play—is an unconditional life lesson, one that’s shaped me personally and professionally. It’s played a pivotal role in helping me build confidence and carve out a path that’s uniquely mine.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Silver Palm Salon | Spa | Medspa is more than just a beauty destination—it’s truly an oasis for self-care. We’ve created a space where guests can experience luxury salon, spa, and medspa services all under one roof, in an environment that feels welcoming, relaxing, and elevated. What sets us apart is our dedication to personalized service. Every client who walks through our doors is treated as an individual with unique needs and goals, and our team is passionate about creating results that make people feel their absolute best—inside and out.

I’m most proud of the culture we’ve built. It’s not just about delivering great services; it’s about building trust, fostering confidence, and creating a community. Seeing clients leave feeling empowered and beautiful is the most rewarding part of what we do.

Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. Starting a business from the ground up takes grit, faith, and a willingness to bet on yourself—even when things are uncertain. There were moments of self-doubt, financial challenges, and tough decisions, but I kept showing up every day, believing in the vision and refusing to give up. I leaned on mentors, my support system, and the belief that hard work compounded over time would pay off.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that perfection doesn’t exist—and that progress, consistency, and adaptability matter more than getting everything right the first time. I’ve also learned the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people: a team who shares your values, and friends and family who remind you why you started.

What I want the world to know is that Silver Palm was built with heart. Every detail was thoughtfully created to be a sanctuary where clients can pause, care for themselves, and leave feeling recharged. It’s a reflection of my passion for self-care, beauty, and helping others feel confident in their own skin. Our story is one of resilience, community, and the power of believing in what you’re building—even when the road gets hard.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
