We had the good fortune of connecting with kerisha crowder and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi kerisha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting a business of my own was to get to a place where I can never be told no or have a door closed in my face.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My Name is Kerisha Crowder, An artist from Colorado I’ve made music for over 10 years. That was hard the marketing and amount of time it took to write songs. I recently decided to step away and start Loco Socials Events, Loco Socials Events is an event company that books local artists to perform at various clubs, I started this company with business partner Rooftopyork who is a local Engineer and producer. I have a film company called Dark Soul Bright Future Films and under that name I have shot Numerous music videos for Local Artist free of charge, over the years. I host The newly Formed Loco Talk Show podcast where Artist and entrepreneur come and tell their backgrounds history and how they became the artist they are today. My motive is to boost the self esteems of my Community uplift them and make them feel like their voice is important. These short podcast documentaries are released under Dark Soul Bright Future Films which is now a Non Profit Corp, Dark Soul Bright Future Films and Community arts group. With Dark Soul Bright Future Films being a NPO I do intend on doing community work to help clean up the image of the local music scene here in colorado via gun violence drugs domestic violence abuse of any sort. With right backing I believe I have what it takes to make a difference in which I am already doing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend to pete’s to eat that is my favorite place also central city I love to play poker. Of course I would take them to the studio where I conduct business show them around and introduce them to the movement Iam starting via the advocacy for my community.
