Meet Khloe Katz | Drag Entertainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Khloe Katz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Khloe, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson I have learned so far from 14 years in the entertainment industry, is that when you are in service to someone, the money is secondary. The fulfillment comes from meeting the needs of others through your art. When your alignment with your service based desires are matched up with your business or monetized endeavors, that is where the true magic of business and life intersect.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a full time Drag Entertainer with over 14 years of industry experience. Being born in Nebraska wasn’t easy for this queer drag queen with hopes to entertain the world. Living in a state that is notoriously conservative, made it hard to live as your authentic self. Never being able to see queer representation in real life truly limits your thoughts of what you think are possible for your future. I decided to move to Colorado around the age of 26. Finding a bigger queer scene and living in a more liberal leaning state, made the difference in thinking of the possibilities of what life could look like. Seeing happy couples and professionals that looked like me and sounded like me and lived like me, definitely changed my life. Living your life as your authentic self is never an easy journey, but it is a worthwhile one! Over the years of doing drag shows I have realized that representation, hope, and authenticity have the ability to change lives. I am now currently focusing on trying to bring more All-Ages friendly shows to the community; because seeing queer representation at all ages reminds us all that everyone is valid and love is love.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a week long trip of fun here is what I would check out! Colorado is so accessible, so I never just recommend things in Denver, but here are some favs!
Gamble at any casino in Blackhawk
Check out Estes Park for the scenery and nature
Grab some one of a kind drinks at Wicked Tequila Room in Loveland
Drink and chill at R Bar and Lounge in Fort Collins
Must see Piano Lounge and Bar at ICONS in Colorado Springs
In Denver for drinks check out Tight Endz, Xbar, Blush and Blu, Millers and Rossi, and Frozen Matters speakeasy
In Denver for food check out Dos Santos, White Pie, Guard and Grace, and Tamayo
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout the amazing LGBTQIA+ organizations here in Colorado that are making a difference in the lives of our youth! “Youth Seen” and “Dragutante” are doing amazing work in the queer youth space!
