We had the good fortune of connecting with Kim Malone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kim, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe setting intentions, daily invisioning your success (as if it has already happened), then actively putting in the work to succeed is the key to results. I believe using your mind, intention and hard work is the key to success. Regarding branding, it is very important to keep your brand and logo consistant. Although it can be pricey on the front end what you are striving for is long term recognition of your brand. Every bag, sign, logo,mailer and so on should include your branding info.

What should our readers know about your business?
Enlightened Balance Chakra Spa is a brick and mortar store in downtown Crystal Lake Illinois. When I opened 10 years ago I simply opened a retail store inspired by spirituality. Fast forward Enlightened Balance has grown to become a leader in the Metaphysical Community and is broken into 5 parts.

Our Chakra Spa offers holistic services via appointment or walk-in 7 days a week, our private themed rooms are manned by practitioners daily from open to close. We also offer distance services to clients whom are out of our
area.

Our Rock Shop offers hundreds of varieties of AAA quality rocks, crystals, fosils and shells in all sizes and shapes. Paperwork of were the specimins were sorced along with their spiritual and metaphysical properties are always provided. We educate our guests how to utalize them to enhance thier lives.

Our Metaphysical Boutique has a section for every spiritual tribe from Christian to Pagan. We pride ourselves on including all groups and all cultures. Because of this we have been called the ‘Spiritual Candystore”.

Our Artisian Market offers all types of products from a team of local artists. Everything from paintings, to jewelry to bath and body products made by locals can be sampled and purchased.

Finally our Apothecary offers a wide selection of herbs, spells, salts,amulets,resins and incense to help those who work with earth medicine to have the ingredients required to practice their craft.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would enjoy all activities in our local area……purhaps a monster bloodymarty at Judes Gin House or a margarita at Cantina 52

Food I would not miss would be Da Baffone’s which is homemade Italian Eatery, just like grandma makes with a reasonable prices and beautiful ambiance.

Shopping in our downtown area has so much to offer and are all locally owned small business, mostly owned by women in our community.

Meditation and the Blue Lotus Temple would be something I would want to include although in a neighboring community of Woodstock.

Emmerson and Oliver (underground Speak Easy) would be a must for craft cocktails and amazing live music and vibes.

These are all in my area so I am unsure if helpful.

In Colorado I enjoy Dog Sledding in Breckenridge at Good Time Adventure Tours or Hot Air Ballooning our of Longmont with Jeff from Rocky Mountain Balloon Rides

Ryan Grannemann is a high school math teacher at who really puts his student relationships first. He focuses on not only teaching the curiculum but helping students muture into adults that are good people. He places allot of focus on effort, accountability, actions helping them groom the future of tomorrow.
