We had the good fortune of connecting with Kinsey Soderberg (Streib) and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kinsey, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I first heard about entrepreneurs using AI tools, I was honestly a total curmudgeon about it. I thought:
‘Isn’t the internet fa*e enough as it it?’
‘What’s this going to do to our creativity and critical thinking skills?’
‘Are robots going to take over the world?!?’
But then, I realized that AI tools are here, and the best thing we can do as solopreneurs is get curious about them and figure out how we can make them work for US. And that’s how my brand Authentic AI was born.
I’ve spent the past year testing various AI tools and developing what I’m calling a “human-first approach to AI” that allows us to use AI tools in our businesses without sacrificing our authenticity or wasting our time.
Now, I teach down-to-earth entrepreneurs how to train AI assistants on their brand, plus integrate AI tools into their workflow using simple techniques.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started my business Feel Good Social over 5 years ago, with a focus on helping down-to-earth entrepreneurs show up online without wasting your time or selling your soul. We focus on authentic storytelling, genuine marketing and selling without the sleeze.
About a year ago, I started our sister brand Authentic AI – and we’re taking the “feel good” approach to AI tools for entrepreneurs. Authentic AI helps solopreneurs leverage AI tools in your business without wasting your time or sacrificing your authenticity.
Authentic AI encourages entrepreneurs to use a “human-first approach” – which means using AI to amplify your business, not replace it. We believe in bringing your own ideas and opinions to these tools, and allowing AI to help you along in your workflows without allowing it to totally take over and do all the work for you.
This allows you to save lots of time using AI for lots of different tasks and make AI work for you in a way that aligns with you.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ve lived all around the state of Colorado for ten years now: Breckenridge, Vail, Salida, and now, Colorado Springs. And there are so many awesome things to do!
In Summit County, I recommend driving up Boreas Pass and around Lake Dillon, especially stopping at Sapphire Point on Swan Mountain. Try Buffalo Mountain for a sunrise hike, or climb Mt. Royal multi-pitch.
In Vail, I recommend visiting Piney Lake (the “Maroon Bells” of Eagle County) or simply head over to Aspen and see the Maroon Bells for yourself.
In Salida, try tubing or rafting, or go to Princeton Hot Springs.
In Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods is a must, and it’s free!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There have been so many people who have helped me and cheered me along in the process of building my business. My husband and mom have both lovingly listened as I’ve brainstormed business ideas (even when they don’t really know what I’m talking about). My Feel Good Social community and podcast listeners have been a huge support, along with the various coaches I’ve worked with through the years, like Michelle Knight and Tani Morgan.
