We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyndra Bailey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyndra, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I love keeping my business personal! Getting to know my customers through social media and interacting with them there is my favorite part of owning my business. I often even include them in the design process. I think keeping things personal really resonates with them – they end up being excited to support someone they know through the internet, and I find joy in those connections.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started my business because I wanted an outlet to share my love for hand-lettering with the world. In the 3+ years I’ve owned it, it has grown into more than I could have imagined – but of course, it hasn’t been without it’s challenges. Owning my business has tested my patience like never before, in the sense that growth took much longer than I thought it would. However, now I can look back and know that the timeline I had with my business was just right – it gave me the time to hone my skills, and ultimately led to my business’ biggest focus: mental health products. Selling those products are so special to me, because it’s such a privilege to let people know they aren’t alone in their journeys. If my products could make even just one person feel seen and love, then it’s mission accomplished.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m tend to be more of a homebody, so. I’d probably just take them to my favorite restaurant, Kerbey Lane, where they’d have the best queso of their life, then top off the dinner with warm cookies from Tiff’s Treats. We may go out a few times during the week, maybe for a concert or other live event, but we’d just be enjoying each other’s company more than anything.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d dedicate my shoutout to all the friends and family members who’ve been by my side since the start of my business. The confidence boost they gave me at the start of my business helped me continue to keep going to grow my business. Above all, I’d have to recognize my sister, BreAnna, who is behind the scenes with me all the time helping out with designs.
