We had the good fortune of connecting with Lana Sackwild and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lana, what makes you happy? Why?
There is nothing that makes me happier than seeing people’s dreams come to life! have dedicated my life to helping people redefine and reconnect to their purpose and awaken their unlimited potential. I desire nothing more than to open the doors of perception & tear down the veil between the multiple worlds of consciousness for anyone who’s ready to dream big for themselves and in doing so create a lasting change in this world!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My profession as a lucid dream coach & work as a scientific researcher blossomed from a thirst for exploration, knowledge, & adventure. What I do is different from most other lucid dream teachers or coaches as I focus on two very specific niches. (1) Mitigating depression and alleviating anxiety During my early teenage years, I surrendered to a dark depression by challenging my perceptions of waking reality with mind-altering medicines. Like many others, I too consumed antidepressants and antipsychotics with little to no signs of improvement. Upon reflection, I recognized that the glimmers of happiness through the darkness often arose when I was addressing what the prescription drugs & traditional therapies were not: the emotional, mental, spiritual, & transpersonal parts of my being. I recognized how lucid dreaming and lucid living had helped me immensely with my own mental health and I was shocked to see there was no research on how this works. I now run 1:1 coaching, webinars, and retreats that are based off my award-winning MSc research on lucid dreaming for improving mental health. (2) I found that when people had worked on their own self-development using lucid dreaming & living practices, they then had a passion ignite inside them! They could finally see lucidly what their purpose was and their life regained meaning. Many of these people then begin creating big dreams for themselves that will create a lasting change in this world and help other people too. In order to help people with this process, I created my 8-week course “The Lucid Entrepreneur Lab” which helps lucid dreamers and entrepreneurs utilize scientific and spiritual lucid dreaming & living practices to access subconscious information, breakthrough blockages, & achieve more in their business and life! It was certainly not easy to create this kind of business as nothing like this has ever existed! I have tough days as an entrepreneur where I wake up and question why I couldn’t have just chosen something “easier” that I’m not as personally connected to. But it’s not the monetary aspect of business that drives me. It’s my people and our BIG DREAMS! I love working with people new to dreamwork, lucidity, and entrepreneurship. The way their eyes LIGHT UP as they receive profound dream insights and messages in a single night that are worth more than a lifetime of therapy! I get a huge buzz from the advanced dreamers who use their lucidity for next-level living and experienced entrepreneurs who start having massive personal and business breakthroughs! It’s so hard to pioneer something. But It’s witnessing all the life-changing transformations that keep me working harder than I ever have in my entire life. When your passion and purpose takes priority over profit, you will receive an income that is both monetary and at the same time absolutely priceless!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of the first places I went to in Denver was Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom to see Trevor hall and then a week or two later a Michael Jackson tribute band! It’s an incredible venue for music as it’s not a massive space so it feels intimate and at the same time, the layout of the venue makes it so someone short like me (4″11!) can always see the stage! A great place for socializing, dancing, and having a good time! I’m also a big fan of the Pepsi Center (now Ball Arena) – coming from London I’d never seen a hockey game so seeing the Colorado Avalanche was epic and I loved feeling the passion of the people here during my first Nuggets game too! You can’t come to Colorado and not go hiking. My favorite spot for newcomers is the Chautauqua Royal Arch trail. My little legs mean that I’m not a massive hiking fan but I’ve done this trail plenty of times and it’s always a great one. After living in Tokyo for 5 years I was shocked to find that landlocked Colorado manages to have some of the best sushi places! Yoshi Sushi in Louisville and Sushi Zanmai & AOI Sushi in Boulder are some of my favs. Fiske Planetarium in CU Boulder also usually has some pretty good shows on. I caught a great one about Mars when it was close to the moon and we could all go outside afterwards and actually locate it in the sky ourseslves! There was also a great show I watched on black holes that really blew my mind!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my first ever life coach, Sandy Gordon! I worked with her as a Tony Robbins results coach over the course of a year and back then it was the biggest investment I’d ever made on myself ($5K) – but in reality, the entire experience was priceless! Every coach needs to work with multiple coaches so that they have some idea of what it’s like being the “client” and can learn about how they like to experience and show up for coaching themselves. Sandi taught me the fundamentals of allowing the client (me) to find the solution myself. I really like this concept as I believe the same system is incredibly powerful in the field of dreamwork that I work in now. I never choose to analyze my student’s dreams myself – but I will help them with strategy for dream analysis and let them find the answers themselves which is incredibly empowering!
