Meet Laura Crowley | Executive Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Crowley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Angel Eyes provides free professional grief counseling to Colorado families and friends who have experienced the devasting loss of an infant or child under the age of 5 including miscarriages and still births. By providing these services at no cost, it helps the family along their grief journey and to figure out how to navigate their new “normal”.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Laura lost her third child, Terrah, to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in 1994 and Angel Eyes (formerly called The Colorado SIDS Program) reached out immediately. Laura has hosted lobster dinners for over 200 guests, founded the Angel Walk (formally the Walk to Remember). In 2014, she joined the Board of Directors and moved up to the President of the Board. In May 2024, Laura transitioned to Angel Eyes as the full-time Executive Director and has been fostering relationships within the Colorado community.
“Now that my children are grown, they too support Angel Eyes by volunteering and chairing events. It is our family’s way of honoring Terrah.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
You can’t come to Colorado without visiting the Colorado Rockies. My favorite mountain town to visit is Breckenridge. Breckenridge has something to offer to everyone weather it’s in the spring, summer, winter of fall. I myself am not s skier but love Breckenridge in the winter!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Angel Eyes has an extraordinary team of 5 professional counselors. One counselor supports our Spanish speaking community. With compassion at our core, we create a safe space for healing—helping families cope, connect, and find strength through heartbreak.
