We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Buchanan & Morgan Bowles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren Buchanan & Morgan Bowles, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We were inspired to start our own small business after we saw a need in the community for locally-based, personal social media management. Born and raised in Fort Collins, we both have deep roots in the Northern Colorado area and have watched our town and local businesses grow along with us. We were seeking an opportunity to give back to the community that has raised us, while creating a career that we are passionate about. Our side-hustle for managing a few businesses’ social media pages in town rapidly started to grow, and that is when we decided to start LoMo Social Media Co. LLC as our full-time business. We noticed how many amazing businesses don’t have the time to promote themselves through social media, and we want to use our knowledge of social media trends and experience with social media platforms to help give these businesses the recognition and reach they deserve. Although our services now reach outside of our hometown, we will always prioritize working with those in the NoCo area as a way to keep our community growing and thriving.  We are so thankful each and every day to be realizing our dreams through this business.  Huge shout out to all of the amazing people and businesses we have met along the way!  It has been a pleasure connecting with others in our community through this process of creating a business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What started as two longtime friends creating content for professionals through word-of-mouth has turned into a dream career, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We have learned so much through the process of starting and running a small business, and we are excited to continue learning from other professionals as well as share our newfound knowledge with other start-ups.

At LoMo Social Media Co., we are proud to be a small, local, women-owned and operated entity. We believe in personal yet professional social media management that provides your business the exposure it deserves. We work with you to post and create beautiful, intriguing, and simplistic content that is always authentically “you.” You’ve worked hard to create your business, now let us work hard to boost your social media presence and help you grow!
