We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Jagger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was always planning a party for one of my kid’s birthdays or a holiday. Friends would ask me to help with their parties and it was often suggested that I start my own business. Finally, one day, I took their advice.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always exercised extreme attention to detail. A bit of a perfectionist, I definitely strive to make sure things are done to a certain standard. One of the biggest hurdles in starting my business was a fear of not being perfect, but c’mon, no one is perfect, and I’d rather do my best and give it my all than sit back and never have tried in the first place. We all make mistakes and if we’re smart enough to get out of our own way, we have the opportunity to learn from them. I pride myself on being thoughtful and intentional. If you take the time to listen to someone, you learn how to make them feel special and ultimately, that’s what it’s all about. Creating those happy memories that last a lifetime is the greatest accomplishment.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hikes, hikes and more hikes. Squeeze in some kayaking and a concert at Red Rocks. I’d definitely hit up Cherry Creek and RiNo

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The people that come into your life and for no reason, make the little extra effort to show kindness are everything in this world. I have found the most incredibly supportive and encouraging collection of women in Evergreen and Denver. I consider myself lucky beyond measure to have privilege of calling these ladies friends and having the honor of working with them.
