We had the good fortune of connecting with Leanne Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leanne, why did you pursue a creative career?
I chose to open a faith based sober living because I saw a tremendous need. One that not everyone could meet, but it was deeply personal to me. My own life was completely transformed when I found faith based treatment and was delivered from my addiction to alcohol. After completing my program, I watched so many women go through the same year-long program, only to have nowhere safe to go afterward. The Lord put on my heart to create a faith-based sober living home, a place where women could continue their healing in a safe home with the support, structure and faith they need to truly rebuild their lives until they are ready to live on their own.

What should our readers know about your business?
Tender Loving Christ is a faith-based sober living home for women. You will find TLC is unique and set apart, first and foremost, by our foundation in faith. We provide a home not just for women who are already believers, but also for those who are curious about Jesus Christ and seeking a safe space to explore their faith. No matter where someone is in their walk with the Lord, TLC offers a loving and supportive environment where they can grow.

TLC was placed on my heart to be more than just a sober living home. It’s a foundation for lasting success. Our goal is to equip women with the tools, support and stability they need to rebuild their lives so that when they leave TLC, they are truly prepared to live independently.

At TLC, we hold the women to a high standard because we know true growth comes from accountability and hard work. Success isn’t just about checking off a list. It’s about transformation. That’s why we walk alongside each woman, providing the support, guidance and encouragement she needs to thrive. We are blessed with an abundance of resources, volunteers and mentors who pour into our home and help women build a strong foundation for their future.

We also provide practical tools to remove barriers that often come with rebuilding a life after addiction. Many of our women have lost their finances or their driver’s licenses, so we offer e-bikes for transportation and even have a donated car to help meet house requirements.

TLC is not just a roof over someone’s head. It is a place of accountability, structure, and lifelong success. We are a home built on love, community, and faith. We firmly believe that recovery should include joy, laughter, and connection. We make sure to have fun together, creating lasting memories and showing that a life in recovery can be fulfilling and full of purpose.

What I am most proud of is the strong foundation we have built at TLC. From the beginning, we took the time to create a firm, intentional structure that allows every woman who walks through our doors to truly thrive. We have been blessed with incredible partnerships, connections that are nothing short of God’s work. The people and organizations that have come alongside us have played a huge role in making TLC what it is today, and I am so grateful for each and every one of them.

I am also incredibly excited for the future. TLC is still in its early stages, we just celebrated our one-year anniversary on January 1, but God is moving in big ways. Our home continues to thrive, standing apart from others, and I know this is just the beginning. I look forward to seeing how the Lord expands our reach, whether through future homes, a growing community, or simply more opportunities to spread the love of Jesus and help as many women as we can.

I believe I am where I am today because of both my past work experience and my personal journey. My professional background gave me the knowledge to run a business, but it was overcoming my own battle with alcohol addiction that truly prepared me to lead a faith-based sober living home.

It has definitely not been easy. There have been challenges, but in many ways, it has been easier than I expected, not because of my own strength, but because the Lord has provided every step of the way. My role is simply to be obedient to His calling, and He continues to open doors, provide resources, and bring the right people into this ministry.

I was once completely broken and lost, but I found true life through Jesus. My heart’s desire is to pour love into others who feel the same, those who are struggling, hurting, and searching for hope. I want people to know that no matter how far gone or broken they feel, change is possible. A beautiful life is ahead of them, and they are never too lost for redemption.

At Tender Loving Christ, we are more than just a sober living home. We are a home of restoration. This is a place where women not only heal but also rebuild the relationships that matter most. We have witnessed incredible reunifications, mothers reuniting with their children, daughters reconnecting with their parents, sisters restoring their bonds, and families coming back together after years of pain. Their loved ones miss them deeply, and our greatest joy is seeing those relationships mended and strengthened.

Here, women experience a love they may have never known but are absolutely deserving of. They find safety, community, friendship, and unwavering support. No one has to walk this journey alone. There is always a way out, and there is always hope. At TLC, we are here to love, support, and walk alongside every woman, helping her rebuild her life and restore what was lost through the power of Jesus Christ.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in Colorado, there’s no shortage of breathtaking places to explore. If my best friend were visiting, we’d start with a concert at Red Rocks, grabbing dinner in Morrison beforehand. We would spend out days boating on one of the nearby lakes, take in the beauty of Colorado’s trails and explore an outdoor adventure.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give my shoutout to several.

I want to give my shoutout to the program the brought me to Jesus, Come As You Are. The mentors and vessels they brought through their program played a hug role in my journey and without them I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m especially grateful for my mentor, Liana Torres who helped guide me and my counselor Rebecca Beckner, whose wisdom and direction were invaluable. Most importantly, the Lord saved and rescued me. He is the one who worked the miracles and everyone in my life that led to him.
I am also grateful for my board, who’s wise counsel and support help guide me everyday. Their leadership and dedication mean so much.

I want to thank my husband, Morgan Minor and my daughter Taylor for their love and support throughout my journey. And a special thanks to the Bandimere family and the entire racing community at Bandimere Speedway. Their unwavering encouragement and generosity have meant so much.

There are so many more that I could name who have been part of this journey and I am beyond grateful for each and every one of them. The Lord has surrounded me with an incredible community and I thank Him for every person who has played a role in this path He has set before me.
