We had the good fortune of connecting with Leeanna Victor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leeanna, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand, is realizing that “failure” doesn’t actually exist. I’m not saying that I wont “fail” or that this won’t possibly end someday. I’m saying I have already succeeded, and will always succeed when I allow the small things to count as a win. A new reading, a new client, a new website… those are all a success, even if in the end this business doesn’t reach a million people or make a million dollars. We’ve been taught that in order to succeed, we have to meet a prerequisite of standards formulated by a system that doesn’t actually want us to succeed. When we continue to believe that the expectation, or the possibility of failure exists, then we are coming from a place of lack. However, when we eliminate the idea that not meeting our expectations is a “failure”, and instead accept the fact that, OK, that route didn’t work out, and now we’ve learned from it, that’s a “success”; That’s when we begin to grow. So if I count everything I’ve ever done, and everything I’m ever going to do as a success… Then I will never fail.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Reiki practitioner, Past-life reader, and currently doing sessions to help people connect to, and foster a more meaningful relationship with their Inner Child.
What sets me apart from others is that I don’t approach my work from a “Live, Laugh, Love” standpoint. Don’t ask me about when you’ll get married or if that person likes you. Lets talk about why you hate your job or why you can’t seem to get a jump start on that big idea you’ve had rolling around in your mind. Life can be really hard, and I want to help people by showing them how to move through some tough energy or by giving them the tools to do that themselves. In doing so, my goal is to help those I work with live a more meaningful and present life.
It definitely wasn’t easy to get where I am today. I have started up and quit businesses like this several times in the past. In that process I have learned and unlearned so many things, like what I believe I deserve, what my idea of success is, releasing fear around money, how my habits affect my desired outcome, and changing those habits to reflect the life and business I desire. The exclusive difference between this time and all the other times, is a refusal to stop believing in myself. If there is one thing I’ve learned over the years is that everyone in the room could believe in you… but if you don’t believe in you, it will never work.
I want the world to understand that healing our trauma and becoming more intimate with our true selves may seem scary, but that’s honestly not the case. I’m here to help guide you through those tough energies and point you in the direction for continued individual growth.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many fun activities to do in and around Denver! First things first I would take them to my favorite Indian resturaunt, Sherpa House, in Golden, and then walk off the food along Clear Creek for a nice way to wind down. To have a good time and a couple of drinks, I would take them to 1UP, my favorite arcade bar that has such a fun atmosphere. If they were looking for a laugh, I would take them to the International Church of Cannabis for one of their comedy shows, that always hosts local comedians! Last but not least, I would have to drive ‘em up to the mountains to go for a hike and catch some awesome views of the land, my current favorite is hiking up Mount Sanitas in Boulder!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve had so many along my journey that have guided me & given advice that it’s impossible to list them all. However, I would not be the same person today if I had not listened to the podcast ‘Soberish’ by Jessa Reed. This podcast brought together so many like-minded people that created such an amazing, supportive community that I keep in touch with daily on social media. I’d also like to thank my amazing friend and mentor, Dana Willey of Woo La La, who has supported, encouraged, and help show me the ways of Mediumship and given me tools to help foster that skill.
Lastly I want to give a big shoutout to my Dad, who encourages me to be my authentic self, to my brother, Cody, who supports me in the smallest but most meaningful ways, and to my partner, who has provided tools and encouragement, and loves me through the tough times.
