We had the good fortune of connecting with Luiza Câmara and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luiza, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
o create my own business, I need to believe in my potential. Then I need to prove that I could help many families solve problems that had consequences. Gradually, I strengthened the idea of being an autonomous lawyer, a liberal professional, owner of my office focusing on Family and Succession Law, with a gender perspective.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It’s never easy to stand up for women, being a woman. Because, in addition to all the career challenges, we have to deal with domestic life, the children, the husband, the house, the bills, aesthetic and health bills. So, I have to do my best and at the same time think about working on my company’s Marketing, thinking about social media, operations, sales, completing good objectives and finalizing contracts with good feedback. All of this, without losing the fun, preserving my time of pleasure in which I usually prioritize my bodybuilding and dance training, which helps me in all my creative processes and mental organization. My brand is precisely the recognition of women’s power of transformation, autonomy and emotional, physical and financial independence to become a successful individual.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I recently moved from the Capital, where the sea and the beach were available, to live in a more remote city, bathed by rivers, where I find nature when I wake up and look out the window. A special place that I usually go to is the Bath House where it is possible to take a bath in the thermal waters of my city, a relaxing experience that brings many health benefits. Afterwards, I like to have a coffee without sugar with pamonha, a colonial product of this city. In this city, it is common to have parties of rural farmers, vegetables, rodeos. These community parties add and amuse me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, my husband who believed that I could be a militant and independent lawyer. Then my clients who achieve big transformations and show me that I’m on the right track to see the change I want in the world. Also the Brazilian School of Women’s Rights, where I took training to work with a focus on the gender perspective in order to help more women in search of equity and social justice.
