We had the good fortune of connecting with Lydia Golesh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lydia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Before getting into residential real estate, I remember hearing less-than-positive feedback from many people in my network with respect to their real estate agents. I thought, “There has to be a better way to serve people with their largest asset!”. When I began my own business, it was with a long-term mindset of serving my community. Real estate is, after all, one of the cornerstones for cultivating a great area to live, learn and grow in…at all stages in life! Being a trustworthy, knowledgeable and reliable professional allows me and my Team to ensure life-long relationships with our clients and those in our communities.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being the #1 agent at my firm can only come when I differentiate myself from my competition. In this, we offer most of our Staging programs at no additional cost to our sellers! We have our premier Designer come in to evaluate the space – when you are living there or not – and elevate your home to ensure we maximize it’s exposure to buyers in the market and on the sidelines. Statistics show that a staged home sells for 6-13% more money and 24% faster than an un-staged one. As your real estate resource, providing this (in most cases) at no additional cost to you can get more money in your pocket at the closing table. I also own a Home Services company which helps schedule, coordinate and execute on all home preparations and projects. From installing a new bathroom fixture or painting a dining room wall to a plumbing or electrical need, we facilitate quicker and more reliable services before and after your big move so you can focus on your next chapter, not the dirty work. Successfully owning two companies over the years has been a lot of hard work and working smart. The challenges have certainly been worth it and all things in life worth having don’t usually come easy. Focusing on the client and doing the right thing for them has always been my North star. It takes the attention off the temporary difficulty and puts it on the long-term success of the relationship and service to others. When you serve others well, they will know you care and take care of you too. That’s our brand – service first!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Easy! Day One: We’d grab breakfast at Snooze in Lone Tree, then head to Downtown Castle Rock and go shopping at places like The Barn and The Emporium. Then, we’d get lunch at Courtyard Social and stop by The Cake Company for the world’s best cupcakes (gluten free options too!). If there is still daylight, we’d hit the Castle Rock Outlets. Then, grab take out and head to Daniel’s Park for their scenic overlook – a sunset dinner with a view! Day Two: A bike ride into Cherry Creek State Park. Head to Yaya’s Euro Bistro for lunch. Afternoon, we’d rest (because downtime on your own deck in Colorado is perfection!). Fancy dinner (we’re pulling all the strings here) at Shanahan’s Steakhouse. Day Three: Head to our local church, then it’s Devil’s Food for coffee or brunch, Washington Park for a walk or games, and Homegrown Tap & Dough for amazing pizza. The afternoon and evening would be shopping a Cherry Creek Mall and dinner at Carmine’s on Penn to end on an amazing Denver note with Italian flair.
