We had the good fortune of connecting with Madi Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Madi, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always been captivated by the power of stories, especially those told through visuals. I started off with a company called storiesbymadi, where I specialized in filming weddings. As the company grew, I recognized the potential to extend services beyond weddings and into various industries. It became clear that a name change was necessary to reflect this broader vision because it wasn’t going to be stories by just Madi forever.

Thus the idea for a creative agency was born. Within the creative agency, I wanted to offer a diverse range of services, from photography and videography to social media management and more. As I contemplated how to unify these offerings, I realized that storytelling was the common thread connecting them all. Every service we provide revolves around the art of crafting compelling narratives.

To elevate storytelling to a professional level, I decided to rebrand the company as Professional Storytelling—or P.S. for short. I’m particularly fond of the abbreviation P.S., not only because it stands for “Professional Storytelling,” but also because it evokes the familiar and personal touch of a handwritten postscript. It signifies an added value, a thoughtful conclusion to the narrative we create for our clients.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Professional Storytelling is a creative agency that specializes in, you guessed it, storytelling! Our core focus is on storytelling through visuals, helping brands/individuals communicate their unique stories in a way that truly resonates with them and/or their audiences.

What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to high-quality services and the strong relationships we’ve built with our clients. We take great pride in our work and the trust that our clients place in us. Each project is a collaboration where we deeply engage with our clients to understand their vision and goals, ensuring we deliver not just what they need, but what they didn’t even know was possible.

Reaching this point hasn’t been easy. It’s involved a lot of late nights and early mornings. We’ve faced numerous challenges, navigating the competitive landscape to managing the complexities of client expectations. But these challenges have taught us valuable lessons. We’ve learned that resilience and adaptability are key to overcoming obstacles. Staying true to our values while being open to new ideas has helped us navigate the evolving landscape of the creative industry.

One of the key lessons we’ve learned is the importance of staying true to our core values while remaining open to innovation. The creative industry is constantly evolving, and it’s vital to stay ahead of trends while maintaining our unique voice and approach. We’ve also learned the value of building and nurturing relationships—not just with clients but within our team as well. A supportive and collaborative team environment is essential for fostering creativity and delivering exceptional work.

We want the world to know that Professional Storytelling is more than just a creative agency. We’re passionate about using storytelling to make a real impact. Our brand is all about connecting with audiences on a deeper level and creating visual experiences that leave a lasting impression. We’re excited about what the future holds and look forward to exploring new ways to tell more stories!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Denver for a week, I’d make sure we experienced the best of what the city and its surroundings have to offer. We’d start our mornings with coffee at Hello Darling or Improper City. For lunch, we’d head to Zaman Fresh Mediterranean and then walk around Wash Park, maybe even getting into a swan boat! We’d check out a sports game as well depending on the season.

We’d definitely spend some time at Lookout Mountain in Golden for stunning views and then treat ourselves to a lovely tea at Babes Tea Room. For a memorable day trip, we’d drive to Lyons to work remote along the river and then continue to Estes Park to see the elk and take in the picturesque mountain scenery.

For dining, we’d enjoy a delicious dinner at Linger, and be sure to order lots of the Wagyu sliders!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
From day one, my parents have been my biggest fans. They’ve always been there to cheer me on, no matter what crazy dream I had or how many times I second-guessed myself. Their constant encouragement and belief in me have made all the difference.

They’ve supported me through every twist and turn, offering advice, a listening ear, and lots of love. They taught me to never give up on what makes me happy and to always go after my dreams with everything I’ve got. Their faith in me has been a huge motivator and a real source of strength.
