Meet Mariah Fisher | Graphic designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariah Fisher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariah, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think taking risks is worth it in the end as long as it’s good for you. I graduated college a couple years ago and I tried to build my brand on my own for a year. After trying to do this on my own I felt I wasn’t really going anywhere. At this point I was following another graphic designer for this whole year I was trying to do things on my own and I thought about reaching out multiple times but never did because I was scared of being turned down. It took encouragement from a friend but eventually I decided to take the risk and said screw it I’m going to reach out and ask for help on how to build my brand and business. Once I reached out it was the best risk I’ve ever taken in my life! At this moment I am getting ready to launch my brand and I have never felt more confident or prepared. Risks are worth taking even if you have self doubts!

My name is Mariah and I am a graphic designer at Thrive Soul Graphics, my personal brand that provides graphic design services. What sets me apart from other designers is I am a colorful and passionate designer that provides quality work that will help you thrive and feel confident in your business. I am super excited because I am launching my brand with a structure that is professional and will help me and my clients stay organized. I am still a little fresh in my business but reaching out to another designer is what got me to this starting point. It definitely is a lot of work trying to start your own business but I feel it will be worth it in the end. I want the world to see me as their designer they can go to when they want to feel confident and thrive within their passion like I thrive in mine!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am huge on self care so I feel the best place to be would be hiking in the mountains and being one with nature while you take in the beauty this world has to offer. Away from all the noise and stress and just smelling the fresh air. No social media, no drama, just you and the universe alone in the trees.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely want to give a shout-out to Kailee Nauman as she was the graphic designer I reached out to for help. She seriously changed my life and I feel I am going to go places because of it! She is a huge inspiration to me and if it wasn’t for her I don’t know if I would ever figure out how to be a professional in my field.
