We had the good fortune of connecting with Maya Elizabeth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maya, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My why is the most important factor of my business. Why do I want to sell hair oil? It’s personal for me it’s not to just get a few dollars and stunt it’s to actually make a difference for females/males who aren’t as confident in wearing their natural hair because they’ve been told their whole life “you don’t have good hair”.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m so proud of how big Kreame Hair Oil has gotten in such a short period of time since I’ve actually put all my energy into the business. It was not easy at all. I was my worst enemy at a point where I would overthink and talk my self out of doing things. I had to learn to stop worrying about things I could not control and control everything I could. I had to also be ok with being uncomfortable. I want the world to know that Kreame hair oil is made with love, joy, and organic ingredients only and it’s for everybody.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The mountains! It’s a must to go to winter park or lookout mountain and just take in the vibe and view. Tacos El Reydesel has the best birria tacos, that’s mandatory we eat there. End the night with either riding scooters downtown Denver or go to Beta night club and have some fun.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother! She is tough but without the tough love that was necessary I wouldn’t be where I’m at without her.
