We had the good fortune of connecting with Meghan Gilroy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meghan, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
We live in an unprecedented time of change, chaos & crisis on our planet – and also of a time of great opportunity.

In the Fully Shining Women Leading Our World movement and Fully Shining Women Wisdom School, we bring together a true sisterhood of smart, conscious, capable, caring women to unleash our feminine power so we can breakthrough our blocks and barriers, answer our soul callings and ignite bigger potential in ourselves, our lives, our communities and world.

We believe that global change starts within each one of us.

As over half the global population, women have been historically underutilized and excluded from leadership roles and are an untapped resource for finding intuitive, creative, innovative solutions to our personal and global challenges. When women embrace our power and potential, we give back to our families, communities, humanity and to Mother Earth.

We’re the ones we’ve been waiting for.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I was a smart, successful, conscious, capable, caring woman on a spiritual path – but I was frustrated and stuck that I couldn’t seem to manifest the life and work of my dreams.

After building several 7-figure businesses, teaching around the world and being featured in the media, I realized it was all impressive – but deep inside I wasn’t happy.

Constantly busy, my head was still at work when I walked in the door of our home.

I was full to the point of overflowing, not present with my children and barely had time for my husband – let alone real time to enjoy my life or truly focus on my self-care and wellness.

I went on a hunt to know myself more deeply and on a retreat for myself, remembered the story of becoming a Fully Shining Woman.

Many, many moons ago, when my husband Jamie was a single dad and dating, he was grumbling about women when his then 10-year-old son said,

“Dad, it’s like this. You meet all these women, date them and want to get married. But you need to wait until you meet your Fully Shining Woman.”

A few years later, we met, fell in love and Jamie and Nick bestowed the Fully Shining Woman title on me.

Now here I was, with Nick grown and children of my own, recognized by many as a successful shining woman but realizing that I wasn’t FULLY shining.

In fact, I was dimming my own light.

I wasn’t listening to what my heart knew to be true.

I didn’t always make myself a priority.

I wanted everyone around me to be happy – often at the cost of my own happiness.

And that’s when it hit me. I had been using a masculine approach to get what I wanted – be focused, set goals, make a plan, don’t stop.

Yet when I looked back at my life, all the best decisions I had made came from being in my feminine power.

Feminine power and spirituality that came from trusting my intuition and feelings, leading from my heart not my head, taking leaps of faith that didn’t make sense at the time, tuning into fluid cycles of creation and spending time in connection with nature.

When I let go of logical and linear and allowed the messy, the magic and the mystery to guide me, my life was better than I could have ever imagined.

Excitedly, I reviewed all my client success stories and saw that the women I had worked with had also blossomed and found true happiness and lives that felt authentic when they used their feminine power.

That’s when the Fully Shining Women Leading Our World movement was born.

So many women from around the world are like me – we didn’t need another teacher or guru. We didn’t need another thing on our “to do” list.

Instead, we want structured support to pause in our full lives and a true sisterhood of smart, conscious, capable, caring women on a spiritual healing and growth path.

We’re ready to unleash our feminine power so we can breakthrough our blocks and barriers, answer our soul callings and ignite bigger potential in ourselves, our lives, our communities and world.

We’ve discovered that it isn’t just “nice” to have support and sisterhood – it’s necessary.

I believe that every woman deserves to create a life where she feels called, fulfilled, connected, cherished, delighted and supported – and when she is, she creates positive ripples in the world around her.

We empower ourselves – and that changes our lives, our communities and the world.

If you are resonating with this call, then I invite you to join me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in a small mountain town on the Western Slope of Colorado, surrounded by nature. When friends come to visit, we like to take them to the hidden local farms with the best produce, spend a lazy Sunday with a glass of wine from one of the local wineries down by the river, take in one of the many community festivals and celebrations, walk through downtown and pop into the stores and art galleries or take a hike out our backdoor into the foothills of the mountains.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My life began as a people-pleasing, overachieving, goal-oriented perfectionist. That lead to worldly success in business, online and in media – alongside a healthy dose of stress, resentment and exhaustion.

Luckily my path crossed with don Miguel Ruiz, the international bestselling author of The Four Agreements. He set me on a path of intuition, authenticity and soul success and I was eventually honored to co-teach with him and run his business.

I also wouldn’t be where I am today without the amazing women I’ve had in my life – from mentors & practitioners to friends & soul sisters to my Fully Shining Women Leading Our World sisterhood.

So eternally grateful to Rita Rivera Fox, Fia-Lynn Crandall & Makaylah Rogers, Anna-Claire Walsh, Rosemary Quade Nichols and Diomira D’Agostino to name a few.

Many of those women are mentors & partners within the Fully Shining Women Wisdom School so they are now supporting many women on their path in our gatherings & programs and creating a ripple effect out into the world.
