Hi Melissa, what do you attribute your success to?
At the heart of Slumberlux is a deep commitment to creating experiences that feel effortless, elevated, and genuinely thoughtful. The most important factor behind our success has been our ability to truly understand our clients, especially busy parents who want to celebrate their children in a meaningful way without the stress that usually comes with planning.

We are not just setting up sleepovers or parties, we are creating moments that families remember. Every detail, from the initial inquiry to the final pickup, is handled with care, communication, and intention. That level of consistency builds trust, and trust is everything in this kind of business.

Equally important is our focus on relationships. Whether it is our clients, our team, or our brand partners, we lead with reliability, professionalism, and a genuine desire to make things feel seamless. Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Slumberlux was created to bring a sense of ease and elevated detail to celebrations that often feel overwhelming to plan. What sets us apart is not just the aesthetic, it is the experience. From the first inquiry to the final pickup, everything is designed to feel seamless, thoughtful, and completely taken care of.

I am most proud of the level of care that goes into every setup. No two events are treated the same, and every detail is intentional. Our clients trust us with meaningful moments in their lives, and that is something I never take lightly.

Getting to where I am today was not easy. Like many small business owners, I started with a vision and learned everything along the way through trial, error, and a lot of persistence. There were moments where I had to figure things out quickly, whether it was logistics, scaling, or balancing growth with maintaining quality. I overcame those challenges by staying committed to the standard I wanted Slumberlux to represent and by building a strong support system around me.

One of the biggest lessons I have learned is that consistency and reliability matter just as much as creativity. It is not enough to create something beautiful once, you have to deliver that same level of experience every single time. That is what builds trust and long-term relationships.

What I want people to know about Slumberlux is that it is more than just a party service. It is a brand built on care, intention, and the desire to make people feel celebrated without the stress. Every setup represents that commitment, and that is what continues to drive the business forward.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start the day with coffee at Trinity Coffee, they have the best ube coffee, and it is one of those little details that makes the morning feel special.

From there, we would head down to Littleton for brunch. Littleton has some of the coziest, most charming spots, and the downtown area is one of my favorite places to slow down and enjoy a really good meal.

After brunch, we would make our way to The Ritz-Carlton, Denver for a full spa experience. This is where the day really shifts into relaxation, taking time to reset, unwind, and enjoy something that feels indulgent and taken care of.

Then for something a little more playful and memorable, we would head to Babe’s Tea Room for afternoon tea. It is such a fun experience and adds a unique moment to the day.

For dinner, I would always choose Cherry Creek over downtown. It has the perfect balance of energy and luxury. A spot like Toro Toro is ideal, it is trendy, vibrant, and always delivers on both food and atmosphere.

To me, the best days are a mix of cozy, elevated, and a little bit indulgent, and this kind of flow captures that perfectly

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would absolutely dedicate this shoutout to my husband, Mike, and my sister, Rachel, they have both been such an integral part of this journey.

Mike supports the business in ways that often go unseen, but make a huge impact every single day. Whether he is stuffing pillows, helping with weekend setups, or improving our operations behind the scenes, he is always showing up. His consistency and willingness to step in wherever needed has been a huge part of keeping everything running smoothly.

Rachel is just as important to this story. She shows up for every setup with the same level of care, pride, and attention to detail that I do. I truly could not run this business on my own, and having someone who loves it just as much as I do makes all the difference.

Slumberlux is built on beautiful experiences, but behind the scenes, it is built on people who genuinely care. I would not be where I am without them.
