Meet Mia Finkle | Professional Organizer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mia Finkle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Organizing spaces is something I have always loved and found so much joy doing. There are a whole lot of people out there that do not enjoy the process of organizing ,but they love the results and the outcome. I saw this gap and wanted to help people get to an organizational goal that they could not achieve on their own.

Having an organized environment allows people to enjoy their spaces more.It also allows them to feel less stressed and able to spend time doing things they enjoy!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own Organized Design CO which is a professional organizing company. I started this company because I love creating order and getting rid of chaos. I believe the environment you live in greatly impacts your life and productivity. There are so many people that feel controlled by the clutter around their home, but are at a loss for how to find their way out.

I enjoy organizing for people to give them their space and time back! One of my favorite clients had a long history of construction that filled his garage and shed with many, many tools, parts, and pieces that he no longer needed. He was retiring and wanted to focus on small woodworking projects with his grandkids, but couldn’t find a way to get started with all of his stuff.

Organized Design was able to sort through all his old tools and donate some, save some to give to his family members, and use the rest to set up a need shop that worked perfectly for what he wanted to use it for now.

These kinds of projects are what I get most excited for because now he has his space back and it will allow him to create new special memories instead of being frustrated and overwhelmed by a cluttered area.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite day in Denver would be a Sunday that starts off with a stroll through the South Pearl Street Farmers Market. Grabbing some veggies, bread, pasta, and sauces for the week. Then grabbing something from one of the food trucks to take to Washington Park for lunch.

If there is still more time in the day my favorite thing to do is grab Mac Nation on the way up to watch sunset at Mount Falcon.

Seeing the mountain view from Denver is always great from a rooftop bar, but I always recommend getting out to the mountains on a good hike or at least a long drive through a mountain pass.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Marie Kondo and Clea and Joanna at The Home Edit really paved the way for a lot of professional organizers.

Their popularity on social media and Netflix grew awareness about having an organizer come into your space and help out with different projects.

Their styles of organizing are also both very unique that it adds a lot of range to what you can do as an organizer.
