Meet Michael Lovato | Real Estate Agent

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Lovato and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My wife and I used to be professional triathletes, and we trained and competed full time. To do that you have to run every aspect of a business, and so when we went into real estate, it was natural that we’d start our own company/ business

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our Real Estate company is a family-run, family-operated business. While it is not easy to grow a company in a competitive industry like ours, especially when competing with large, national and international brands, we truly believe that our clients appreciate our ability to give hands-on and high quality customer service every time. We are community-driven and community-involved. We love where we live and we love helping other people realize their real estate dreams in Boulder County and the surrounding areas.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we had a full weekend, we’d most likely start out by going out for a nice dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Boulder — either River and Woods, Corrida, Oak, or something more low key like Proto’s Pizza. We’d enjoy an evening eating and strolling around Pearl Street if the weather was warm. Over the next couple days, we’d show our guests some of our favorite hikes and runs, including Mount Sanitas, the Goat Trail, Old Kiln, and Marshall Mesa. Later we’d go for a nice dog walk at Boulder Valley Ranch or Eagle Trail.

If it’s winter, we’d spend some time at Eldora skiing; if it’s spring or summer, we’d probably head down to the Farmer’s Market or the Boulder Creek festival. We also love entertaining at our house, so, again, if it’s summer, we love having backyard BBQ’s and sitting around the bonfire roasting marshmallows.

We love the outdoors, and we love hanging with our kids, so we’d definitely schedule some time to show our friends the parks, hikes, runs, and bike rides we most love.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We are a family business, and the first person I’d give a shoutout to is my wife Amanda. She started in the Real Estate industry 15 years ago, and invited me to follow her into the business. Without her encouragement, I would not be in this profession.
