We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Aragon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, how does your business help the community?
We are very involved in the community. We volunteer every quarter, if not more often, by giving free facials and teeth whitening services to adult individuals who are in sober living situations. These free services help build self-esteem. We totally believe in the “look good, feel good” motto. We also donate prepared food for the Urban Peak Youth facility during Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays. We are able to interact with youth who are striving to change their current life situations. The prepared food allows the youth to have home-cooked, comfort food that they don’t regularly have access to; food like tamales, turkey dinners and delicious desserts. As the owner, I myself have been volunteering in youth programs since 2012. We believe volunteering fosters community engagement and brings smiles!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are a natural skincare provider. We choose peoducts that have very little to no chemical composition. We are known for giving great advice about free skincare routines and products that “don’t break the bank”. Unlike other companies who sell high priced and often toxic skincare products, we don’t sell any products. We spend most of our session time, while providing the service, coaching customers on facial massage techniques, environmental factors, and natural serums, oils and supplements that increase skin vitality and elasticity. We often run specials where your first Hydrofacial is free and we offer 50% off referral appointments. We give away as many free services as we have paid services. We believe it is our opportunity to make a difference and help people feel good about themselves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Denver is a great city. There are a number of free or low cost activities to participate in. I often recommend the Redrocks hikes and Indian Hotsprings just outside Denver. Both have an environment that you can explore and dive into. There are some terrific “mom & pop” restaurants like Columbine Steakhouse, Swifts on Colfax and Lookin Good. These are perfect places to have a great, “like home” meal for a fair price. Adams Mystery Playhouse is another great place for dinner & a show. Denver has a number of old, historic homes that are now bed and breakfasts. My favorites are the Lumbar Baron Inn and the Capital Hill Mansion on millionaires row downtown. Green chile is a great staple of Denver and you can literally smell them roasting during peak seasons. If you are just looking for a day of low cost shopping, I recommend the Mile High Flea Market. They have everything from home-made wares to expensive high-end merchandise. You can literally spend the whole day on their huge lot, getting your steps in and enjoying delicious foods and drinks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our success is largely due to the community. Without the many men & women who support our business and encourage our volunteerism, we wouldn’t be where we are. Each individual we encounter has valuable insight and suggestions for growth. Everyday we are blessed to hear stoties of triumph and conflict; both simultaneously sometimes. We are encouraged by their strength in adversity.
