Meet Miranda Farley | Real Estate Broker & Event Coordinator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Miranda Farley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Miranda, what inspires you?
I’m inspired by the land, the people, and the stories that shape this region. Growing up in Wolcott, I was surrounded by a rich history—one that I learned firsthand from my Papu (Greek for grandfather) as he shared memories of the land and the generations who worked it. That deep-rooted connection to this place fuels my passion every day.
I’m also inspired by the resilience and dreams of the people I work with. Whether it’s helping a client find the perfect ranch, creating unforgettable events at Lazy J Ranch, or sharing the beauty of this area through content, I love being part of moments that matter. Seeing someone find their dream home, celebrate a milestone, or build a future here reminds me why I do what I do.
Lastly, I’m inspired by growth and reinvention. Life is always evolving, and I believe in embracing new opportunities, learning from challenges, and pushing myself to create something meaningful. Whether it’s through real estate, events, or storytelling, I want to leave a lasting impact—just like the generations before me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m proud of the journey I’ve been on, especially carving out a space for myself in this beautiful region. Starting in real estate, I knew I wanted to share this land’s stories and beauty with others. Now, with Lazy J Ranch and my work creating events, it feels like I’m building something that honors both my family’s legacy and the spirit of this place. The ability to blend real estate with events and storytelling has been a true passion project for me.
I’m also proud of the relationships I’ve built with clients—trust is earned, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help people find their homes, their businesses, or their dream venues. That’s what makes it all worth it, knowing you’ve made a lasting impact.
As far as challenges go, like any rancher or real estate agent will tell you, the market is never steady. Things shift fast, and it’s not always easy to keep up with the pace. But that’s the nature of the work—it keeps you on your toes, and that’s how I like it. I thrive on adaptability and the creativity that comes with navigating those changes.
Another challenge for me is just juggling everything. Real estate, events, and content creation sometimes feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day! But I’ve learned that it’s all about finding balance and being okay with letting go of perfection sometimes. As long as I’m staying true to what matters most—my family, my clients, and the land—I’m content.
Despite the obstacles, it’s the spirit of this region, the people, and the land itself that keeps me going. Every challenge is a chance to push forward and keep building something meaningful.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a heartfelt hat tip to the pioneers who first settled and shaped this region—the ranchers, farmers, and community leaders who worked tirelessly to build the foundation for the vibrant place we now call home. These individuals were visionaries, seeing the potential in this land long before it became the thriving community we know today. Their resilience, hard work, and determination to carve out a life in such a challenging environment laid the groundwork for the generations that followed.
Many of them didn’t have it easy, but they didn’t back down. They built farms and ranches, cultivated the land, and established the connections that allowed this area to grow. The stories I’ve heard from my own family about the early days here, from running sheep to cultivating crops, have given me a profound appreciation for the grit and spirit of the early settlers.
Their legacy is part of what continues to inspire me every day, both in my work and in the way I live my life here. I’m grateful for the pioneers who made this region what it is, and I carry their spirit with me as I help others discover the beauty and history of this land.
