We had the good fortune of connecting with Montana Glenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Montana, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Here at Glenn Fertility & Family Wellness the most important factor behind the success of our practice is purely the level of individualized care we give to each person. In order to do this well it is key to separate ourselves from the standard “heroic” sense of natural medicine in which the healer is the hero/ savior and the messaging is that the patient needs the healer in order to be well. We work WITH the individual as a part of their team, leveraging our knowledge and years of clinical practice with their experience and understanding of the body/mind/spirit they inhabit everyday. We don’t live in their body and we don’t pretend that we know more than them about who they are and how they go. We simply listen and facilitate. The model of our practice is intentionally slower and involves a lot more listening in order to “slow down to speed up.”
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most excited and proud of the work my partner in life, love, family & the business of healing, Jacob Glenn, and I get to share with one another. Jacob is a quiet pillar of talent, kindness, skill & strength and the utter backbone of our practice. He can one minute be fixing a chronically injured hand, the next holding space for a patient crying after a pregnancy loss; he can one minute be answering all of the calls and emails, checking patients out and rescheduling them and the next be holding our daughter’s hand while they dance to silly music in the clinic after school. My partner in life is multi-talented and even more humble. He listens, truly listens, and can find what ails you in such a simple and casual way that you likely won’t even recognize the skill with which he does that thing he does. I would not have gotten where I am today professionally and otherwise without his quiet but potent skill, his everlasting patience and his ability to be kind and show up every single day. Our mentor once said that being a small business owner is akin to being crazy given all that goes into it. The challenges are real and most will never know what it is to have every bit of your family income and professional efforts wrapped up into 1 single business, but I know I wouldn’t change it for the world. I get to be a good person and use my skills to help others alongside the human I admire most. I am proud that both Jacob and I can show our daughter what it is to make a difference and better the lives of others every single day.
The sacred partnership we have is the foundation of this practice and we show up authentically each and every day to make life better for those who seek our help. What you get when you choose to come to Glenn Fertility & Family Wellness is comprehensive care built on the love of a little family. We are never going to shy away from the hard stuff because it all matters–we believe that your story is the most important piece of the puzzle in managing your health. This is why we are often able to treat conditions and assist with situations that others are not. In our practice we take the time to listen and connect the dots so that we can truly address the problem by finding the underlying why.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If someone were visiting Fort Collins and wanted to have the best day, I would send them to start the day with a drink from Little Bird Bakery https://www.thelittlebirdbakeshop.com/ before going for a mini spa day at Sanctuary Wellness Spa https://sanctuaryfc.com/ and then to get a nice brunch at The Rainbow Restaurant. Hopefully that night Jonathan De Leon of Sound Embodiment https://www.soundembodiment.com/ would be holding a session at Julia Tompkin’s Light & Liv https://lightandliv.com/ so that they could experience Julia’s beautiful space and feel an amazing shift from Jonathan’s work. On the drive home I would recommend going the long way to see the stars out near Horsetooth Reservoir. The next day get up and go to Me Oh My Pie on your way out to Lory State Park for a beautiful hike.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
