We had the good fortune of connecting with Moriah Granados and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Moriah, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe risk taking can open up various doors in your life. Taking a risk in my life wounded me up in Denver, Colorado. I left my biggest most loyal support team back in my hometown Murfreesboro, TN to take a risk at pursuing my dreams in the Cannabis Industry. If I would have not gone through with my decision, I wouldn’t have come across as many grateful opportunities that I have set up now.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One question I asked myself back in 2020 was, “How can I turn my hobbies into a career?”, And that is exactly what I did. I had to figure out myself and what I enjoy doing on a daily basis and cannabis is one of those hobbies that just stuck. It was more than a hobby it was more so a lifestyle for me. I made an Etsy shop and started selling handmade smoking clips for your joint/blunt. As I started traveling more, I ventured out to Colorado for the first time and met so many people in the cannabis industry and knew I wanted to do more than make smoking accessories. So, I moved to Denver, CO in June 2022 to begin my Cannabis Business studies at Community College of Denver. When I first started attending classes I wanted to be a cultivator and own my own cultivation once I graduated, but now I interested in being a cannabis activist and also a cannabis chemist, so I can conduct research on cannabis. I plan on transferring to CSU at Pueblo to get a Bachelor in Cannabis Chemistry. Right now, I am currently in my third semester of CCD and will be graduating Spring 2024, I managed to start my own club called “Canna Club” where we bring up social problems within the industry so we can help innovate it for the future.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would first take a trip to a dispensary and go smoke at Tetra Lounge, a cannabis consumption lounge and then go get coffee at Roostercrat coffee house. And of course, we would have to go see the Rocky Mountains.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my mom. My mom showed me so much unconditional love throughout my journey in the cannabis industry. In Tennessee cannabis is illegal and I gotten into legal trouble with possession of marijuana and also got kicked out of high school and could not walk at my graduation, because the SRO Officers found 0.5grams of weed in my vehicle that was parked on school property. I wholeheartedly appreciate my mom showing me unconditional love and support throughout my legality issues. Without her I wouldn’t have found my true passion in life. She always told me to go explore the world and that sticks with me till this day. If I did not explore the world, to different recreational states, I would not have found out that I can have a serious career in the cannabis industry. Thank you, mama, for everything. i love you.
