We had the good fortune of connecting with Nina Schulze and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nina, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Being an entrepreneur is all about taking risks! Coming up with an out-of-the-box idea to bring to the masses has risk. Following through and making it your livelihood is a risk. Investing time, energy, and money into your business has risk. I think being able to get out of your comfort zone and willing to take risks has played a major role in both my life and my career. And of course, taking risks can be scary but it’s so necessary for personal and professional growth.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Wholeness Hut is a locally owned and operated holistic center with a witchy twist. I offer services such as Reiki, Energy Body Work, Past Life Regression, Inner Child Healing, Akashic Records Readings, and Oracle Readings. What sets The Wholeness Hut apart from the rest is our witchy side. Recently, we have been building a school called The W.E.I.R.D. Online Academy, a safe learning space for Witches Enigmatical Instruction for Reclaiming your Deftness, teaching- where those interested in discovering or honing in on their skills is a priority and allowing students to empower themselves in their craft. We are also building a store where customers can purchase and learn how to do simple candle magic, make protection bags, as well as fun gifts to help them on their journey.
Building my business has not been easy- there’s certainly been bumps in the road and a little bit of imposter syndrome- not sure if this is what I should be doing. However, I hate getting in that mindset. So I really try to turn things around, go within, and am reminded that I do have a great purpose and that I am on the right path. I take each challenge as another stepping stone and realize that sometimes, we do need to pivot and change things up a little bit.
Recently, I was a participant on the webshow, The Blox- an entrepreneurial competition. This was a major challenge for me, as public speaking isn’t my fortay nor is being an extrovert. I am however, incredibly proud of my time at The Blox and I can’t wait for it to air! While I’ve had to learn many lessons on my own, The Blox was a huge pivot point for both me and business and helped me to learn what I was doing wrong, and how I could do better.
I think what I’d like the world to know about me, my brand and my story is that as we are constantly evolving, constantly learning- and The Wholeness Hut is too. We’re constantly building, learning and measuring. We want to be the best for our clients!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area, I would certainly want to show them the best time ever. First, I would take them out to eat at a Santiago’s for a quick bite. We’d probably stop at Queen City Coffee in Lakewood for an iced chai with oat milk and then on to The Wholeness Hut for a little energy work. Because I’d want her to acclimate to the climate, on day 3, we’d probably head up to the mountains for some time in nature. Mountain Evans would be a great drive because its accessible for her and she wouldn’t be sore for the rest of her trip. Plus then we could stop at Beau Jo’s in Idaho Springs for some pizza. That next day, I’d probably schedule a sound bath with Rowen Sounds and then take her out to Maggiano’s on 16th Street for dinner. On her last day, we’d probably stop at Heine’s Market in Wheat Ridge to pick up some produce to make a feast at home. Other spots that could be on the agenda would be Mother Cabrini Shrine, Pearl Street Mall, and Garden of the Gods.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that deserve credit and recognition in my success story! First, my husband and my daughter for constantly believing in me and supporting me in my business endeavors- thank you from the bottom of my heart and my eternal gratitude for your patience! And if it weren’t for my friends and clients, I wouldn’t have a business! Thank you for following my socials, sharing my posts, referring your friends and family members, and trusting me to facilitate your sessions. Of course, I can’t forget The Body Mind Spirit Celebration and other holistic events that come through Colorado where I have been able to showcase my talents. As well as For Heaven’s Sake for allowing me to come in and be apart of a wonderful community of readers. And lastly, The Blox, The Blox Coaches, and my fellow Bloxers for teaching me, challenging, and lifting me up.
