We had the good fortune of connecting with Oscar Romo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Oscar, how do you think about risk?
Risk is both scary and exciting. You truly don’t know what is going to happen when taking that risk but you do know that your “norm” will change and you’ll definitely learn from it. In my own life, I took a giant risk of leaving California and moving to New York which was a major culture shock. It taught me to be more open to the world and that’s helped out majorly with the paranormal work I do. I’ve talked to people from all different backgrounds from the states all the way to Australia. It’s a risk talking to people about ghosts, aliens, or monsters but once you reach out there, you learn that almost everyone has a story.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m excited to keep pushing forward and learning in this field. The paranormal is crazy world to dive into but with having my own experiences with the unknown, it ultimately inspired me. People often are afraid of sounding crazy when they experience something they can’t explain. I strive to make sure they have a place to tell and share their story without being called crazy. Whether we believe it or not, they believe something happened and it’s important to help them process it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There’s so much to do in the city but my favorite place to grab a bite is “Highland Tavern” which have the best burgers in my opinion then grab “Bonnie Brae Ice Cream” for dessert. I’d also say Cheesman Park is is beautiful place to take a good walk while I tell them the ghost stories tied there. Broadway is great spot as well to visit unique shops such as “The Wizards Chest”

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be able to do what I do if it wasn’t for the support of my fiancé Caity who pushes me and joins me on investigations. My brother Alex and my friend Sess also helped me take the leap into the podcast world creating our “Induced Fear” Podcast.
