We had the good fortune of connecting with Paria Saber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paria, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My main goal was to create products that can raise awareness about animal cruelty, conscious shopping and also healing power of herbs . As a vegan I’m strongly against animal testing which is still common in beauty industry so I decided to create a skincare line that delivers results and also could be approved by leaping bunny organization . It wasn’t easy but I achieved it. In 2020 I got covid and suffered from several health issues but I was able to restore my health by using herbal remedies . For this reason I try to share my story with others and educate my clients about herbs . My luxury herbal tea blend was a great way to entice my audience and followers to add herbs into their diet .

What should our readers know about your business?
I always used to work in aviation industry but after covid I lost my job and got covid myself which really put my life at halt. I thought I would never be the same person . However I learnt how to address my health issues using herbal remedies . After I recovered I really had to start from scratch . I lost almost everything to covid but I had to do something and get back on my feet again. That’s why I decided to start a business . Funding the start up was a bit challenging but when there is a will, there is away. I was lucky to come up with great ideas and found great vendors to help me with my venture.

But my biggest challenge was my lack of marketing skills. My products are so great that I thought they sell for themselves . I was wrong! My great and affordable products were not very well known and I was very new to Instagram. It took me about a month to learn how to market my products and create great content online. I’m still learning , but gaining about 2000 followers in 4 months shows that I must be doing something right!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Every time I have a visitor I make sure to take them to View House eatery and bar in centennial as they have the best food and happy hours! Another great spot is Bar Louie in soutland mall which is a gastro bar and their innovative approach in food and beverage presentation always surprises my guest.

A short trip to Breckinridge will definitely will be in itinerary. This place is beautiful in all four seasons but looks like a wonderland in wintertime !
On the way back we will stop at Blackhawk and George Town to see the show the real essence of Colorado to my friends!

And if the weather permits, I love to take my friends for a short flight in Cessna 172 and give them a bird eye view of beautiful Colorado!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I can’t think of anyone except for my Instagram followers. I started this business on my own with no help . And to my surprise , I got to meet amazing people on Instagram who support my venture and find my educational content helpful. I never thought I would meet almost 2000 beautiful souls who inspire and encourage me to do better everyday. Everything I do is for my clients and followers and I always remind them how grateful I am to have them! I established sunglow boho and they keep my business alive.
