We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, how does your business help the community?
Estes Park Massage has been providing top quality massage therapy services for 13 years. We truly believe in customer service and making each client feel heard. Through verbal and written communication, we gather the client’s needs and provide therapeutic massage to help with their massage goals. This can include relief from stress, pain management, and many levels of physical and mental self-care. Recently we added a massage therapy school, Estes Park Massage School, so we can graduate students with a 650-hour massage program and enhance the massage profession throughout CO, the USA, and the world. There is a great demand for massage therapy and quality is of the utmost importance.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Estes Park Massage is proud to have a team of phenomenal massage therapists who truly care and cater to the client. Our team is always changing and evolving, but our standard of upholding the best therapists is consistent.

I started with one room, one massage table and no investors. I built the business as I could very slowly and conservatively. Added therapists as the business grew, as well as, adding decor, equipment, and supplies as growth permitted. Through the 13 years the business has survived three wildfires, a 100-year flood, government shutdowns, and pandemic shut down. These were all huge trials and tribulations and took much navigating and risk-taking to survive, let alone thrive during and after.

I am grateful to Estes Park locals and visitors to our town for being able to hopefully continue for many future years to come. I am grateful for past, present, and future massage therapists who are a part of the team who continue to make the business thrive. Through taking care of our therapists and helping each one find their balance and feel a sense of freedom, we continue to provide above and beyond bodywork.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
eat- Ember, Sweet Basilico, Penelope’s, Notchtop, The Hive, Rock Inn
drink- The Wheel Bar, Rock Inn, The Hive, Ember
visit- Rocky Mountain National Park (Sprague and Lily Lakes), The Arial Tramway, downtown shopping strip/ Riverwalk, The Stanley Hotel, and of course a massage at Estes Park Massage

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So many therapists on the team of Estes Park Massage in the past and currently are a big part of the business success! We have been blessed with some of the best therapists I have ever received from and our clients agree. My parents, Matthew and Deborah Martin, are a huge source of support. They taught me work ethics, business skills, and created a good foundation. My massage school New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe, NM is closed now, but the teachers and culture there shaped my skills, career, and massage standards. My son, David, is a driving force of me wanting to leave a legacy for him, the future of massage therapy, and business success. Local and repeat clients are also important in the story of Estes Park Massage as they are important components of year-round business income.
