We had the good fortune of connecting with Rohan Herbert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rohan, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business helps the community because as a Real Estate Broker, I help families navigate the maze of Real Estate. I’m in the business of growing legacies through home ownership. As you are aware Real Estate is the biggest asset most families have the luxury of trading, so as an Advisor my first goal is to assist my clients on becoming homeowners once that first goal has been achieved the next goal is to shed light on the investment side of the business. As a realtor that has been practicing for about 20 years, I’ve been blessed to have helped numerous clients over the years and over time most of these clients’ have become investors or landlords through my advice. I’ve also been blessed to work with a few investors on my Commercial Real Estate deals, my company Herbert Realty Advisors specializes in 1031 Exchanges, we discuss the tax advantages that this vehicle allows, etc. So, in general my Associates & I have 1 philosophy & that is to be a helping hand in the community.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I would say what sets me apart from others is probably my attention to detail. What I’m most proud of or maybe 1 of my favorite areas of the business is helping folks who are getting ready to retire or maybe have already retired, helping those clients downsize and purchase a replacement home is always fun & fulfilling especially when both homes close within the same week it alleviates the stress that normally would be present. Surviving Real Estate the first 5 years is somewhat difficult I’ve heard; one of the things that helped me overcome the challenges was gaining the trust of my clients & then eventually gaining the trust of the community. The main lesson that I learned along the way is the trust factor is extremely important because it could make or break your career, another factor is your ability to adapt. Like in the 2007-2010 market, I shifted my business model to representing Banks/Asset Managers as a Listing Broker in order to navigate the changed marketplace. What separates me or my brand is my versatility as a Broker meaning I’m not 1 dimensional. I’ve done residential, commercial, multi-unit deals, land deals [with water & mineral rights], foreclosure prevention deals, probate deals, auction deals, I’ve even done airplane hangar deals. My breadth of experience is what makes me unique.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, there is so much to do in Colorado we would start off downtown Denver visiting some of my favorite restaurants and locations. Let’s not forget our beautiful mountain towns, a quick trip to Winter Park is a must. We would definitely visit the National & State Parks, if we had enough time visiting the beautiful towns of Southern Colorado would also be on the list of things to do, i.e: Mesa Verde, Sand Dunes, Durango, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Engineer: Joe Meheen

Joe is one of the most talented & unique persons that I’ve ever met or done business with, not to mention he had around 20 patents under his belt and 1 in particular, was what we called “the indestructible house” (because it is fireproof/tornado proof, etc.) that I began marketing on his behalf to the US Government right before he passed away.
