We had the good fortune of connecting with RosaLara| Lara and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi RosaLara|, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I think that like everything in life I need a process, I start working in the pastry from the most basic, this branch is something complex and takes time and a lot of effort to manage it, I have been since 1999 developing and trying to learn and improve day by day, I think that from the first time I decorate a cake I felt excited to continue in this branch, why I fall in love with pastry!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Nobody said that this life was easy, the most difficult was the language, I began to work the pastry in the year 1999, I started from the basic that was to make the cake, then, decorate cakes, it sounds simple, but it is not so, the advice that I can give you, to people who want to work in the pastry is that they never stop learning and if something is difficult for them, practice, and never give up
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love Colorado, and as a good Mexican I love our food, if my best friend (MY BROTHER) came to visit, I would take him to a Mexican restaurant, then I would take him to Royal Gorge, the view is beautiful, the height, the mountains, the weather, everything in colorado is beautiful
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God, and my family, as is well known each achievement has many sacrifices behind, I have worked very hard to have the knowledge I have, we have gone through very hard things, such as breast CANCER in 2019 and neither God nor my family let me give up, they deserve all the credit
