Meet Rose Browne

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rose Browne and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rose, what do you attribute your success to?
God is the most important factor of how this business even exists. The business is not something I thought I could do. I grew up thinking that I would always work for a company because that is what my parents did. I never imagined myself being self-employed and doing something that brings me joy. My experience with working for other companies left me with icky feelings a lot of times. I never felt fully content at my other jobs doing the exact same thing I am doing now.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology. I got my first job as a medical assistant, where I dealt with patients and pain management procedures. The doctors taught me a lot about the spine and joints. They recommended Pilates, yoga, and PT to help with pain relief. This was my first introduction to Pilates. I considered getting my masters degree to be a physician assistant but after having my second daughter and back pain, I decided to try mat Pilates. I fell in love with mat Pilates and how it made my body feel better. I decided I wanted to help people avoid the need for narcotics and pain killers. It took me 5 years to complete Balanced Body’s Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training and National Certification through NPCP. I was juggling raising two kids, working at gyms, and my business at the same time I was going through the training. Raising my kids and fostering 4 kids over a period of three years, remained a priority so working and learning happened around their schedules. I have learned a lot of patience and time management skills through juggling everything. One of my bonus kids had a variety of therapy services that I was able to observe and learn. This journey was never easy and I wanted to quit more times than I can count, but God kept showing up and showing me the way to keep going.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take a friend to some of my favorite restaurants, including Doug’s Diner, Real de Minas, Las Fajitas, Chilis, and Los Dos Potrillos. The places we would go if it were summer, are Aurora Reservoir to paddle board, Mt Bierstadt, Museum of Nature and Science, and Red Rocks for a concert. The rest of the time we would spend at my house talking or playing Phase 10.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God has brought numerous friends and clients to me through divine meetings. I give glory to God first and foremost. Every single person that I have worked with over the past 15 years has been a huge part of my success. I have learned something from each person and experience working with a variety of people. This includes the pain management doctors I worked for at Peak Anesthesia and Pain Management, my group fitness instructors at Trails Rec Center, friends I taught mat Pilates in my basement, the people I met working at a variety of local fitness centers, my 2 kids and husband for allowing people to come in our home for years, and my clients that came to me through referrals and interactions around town. Each person has helped educate me and boost my confidence. My journey to where I am could be described as a domino effect that lead to opening a Pilates and Fitness studio outside of my home.
