We had the good fortune of connecting with Roxanne Mount and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Roxanne, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always dreamed of running my own business, an unconscious desire that’s been simmering for over two decades. My corporate marketing career, though rewarding, often felt constrained by bureaucracy and the need to justify every idea. When I moved to Colorado from NY, I struggled to find a beauty salon that offered the personalized, luxurious experience I craved. Frustrated by the impersonal, rushed, rude service I encountered in NY and now in Colorado, I realized there was a giant gap in the market for a salon and spa that prioritized hospitality above all else. It wasn’t until an unexpected opportunity presented itself, and my husband and I decided to take the leap. Drawing on our combined experience in hotels/hospitality, we aimed to create a salon that felt like a luxury hotel in a Mediterranean destination. Our goal was to provide the kind of personalized, pampering service that people typically associate with high-end, 5-star hotels in an atmosphere that transports you to a world away from home. A place where you want to linger longer.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m excited to introduce Olive Juice Beauty Bar, a luxurious new nail salon and spa in Highlands Ranch, CO. We transformed a former salon into a sanctuary where wanderlust and old-world charm meet. My goal was to create a space that transports guests to their favorite hotel in their favorite Mediterranean destination, where they can relax and escape the everyday. You’ll get the distinct vibe of a swanky piano bar in Casablanca as you walk through our doors, while Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday play in the background. Clearly my deep background in hotels and my love of travel influenced this concept and I believe what makes us truly special and a one-of-a-kind experience that cannot be found anywhere else in this area.

The name, Olive Juice, bears a symbolic meaning and is a reflection of our mantra, “We love you too.” Olive Juice is a secret way to say I love you without having to say it. When mouthed silently it looks just like you are saying the words. This term of endearment evokes feelings of nostalgia and warm childhood memories within our guests while they enjoy the highest level of service and hospitality. Saying I love you is much more than mere words and our actions speak louder than our name by making every guest feel a way they haven’t before. Our commitment is to provide a warm, welcoming place to escape, to dream, to relax and be yourself.

We are a member- based salon with members only benefits, discounts and perks, however anyone is welcome in for a treatment or service. We have a full menu or services that include manicures (free of harmful acrylics), pedicures, facials, waxing, massage, lashes and brow services.

Our Inner Circle Membership is only $79 per month. This monthly fee is not an additional cost but is used as payment/credits for the services you receive each month. They can also be carried over month after month if unused. The membership includes exclusive benefits, including 20% off every service, priority booking of your favorite service providers, one complimentary drink at every appointment, family sharing, invitations to events, referral bonuses, preferential private party room access with waived rental fee, as well as discounts and special promotions from our brand partners.

Our private event room, The Terrazza, boasts an expansive Tuscan family-style table with floor to ceiling window views of the Rocky Mountains landscape. Perfect for birthdays, showers, holiday parties, networking events and any other special occasions that calls for la dolce vita! Couple this experience with any of our services and treatments and you’ve got an event your guests will not stop talking about.

To enhance your experience, we offer a selection of curated wines and specialty beers.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a New Yorker, I love escaping the city to the mountains, and Vail is my go-to destination to take visitors from out of town. It feels like a slice of Switzerland with the most adorable shops and restaurants like Vintage (french restaurant) and Bully Ranch being two of my favorites.

A day walking around downtown Castle Rock makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a Hallmark movie and I adore shopping in The Emporium and The Barn.

Getting to a concert or Yoga on the Rocks (in the summer) at Red Rocks for me is a must on any itinerary.

For shopping, Cherry Creek is my favorite spot, especially RH, which is like a furniture museum. I also love exploring the area’s restaurants and rooftop bars.

And for a decadent brunch, Yard Bird in RiNo is my go-to spot.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m incredibly fortunate to have a husband who is my biggest champion and supporter. My late mother instilled in me a strong faith and a belief in my talents and abilities, but it was with my husband’s encouragement and partnership that I truly realized my potential. I’m eternally grateful for his patience, guidance, and unwavering belief in me.
