Meet Sam Keesee | Rapper (Quad E)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sam Keesee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sam, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be one of change. I dont wanna be your topical artist. I wanna be a voice for the voiceless and unheard. I wanna bring change to the world there’s alot of hate in this world. And I wanna be someone who can cut right down the middle and expose it for what it really is. I wanna bring people together not just for the music but our culture is hurting bad at the moment and I want to leave a positive mark on this world weather that’s though my music or not that is my one goal on this planet. Bring people together.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
For a small time artist like myself tge struggle has been real. I mean I couldn’t even get 30 people out to a show a couple months ago. I have been preforming for about 2 years now and haven’t gained any real traction. But I know success doesn’t happen over night and as long as I keep my head down and keep pushing I will get where I need and want to. I think what I want the world to know about me is that Im not making music for the money or the fame that can come with it. As they are nice my purpose here is not to work some boring ass job for the rest of my life or become the best to ever do it. I simply want to leave my mark on the world through peace love and education.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots in the city are my house to be completely honest. I don’t go out much I would probably take them to a concert or something along those lines I do snowboard so going up and hitting vail writing some songs sounds perfect to me

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to shout out 2 of my homies. Coleton Riggs and Richard Killian
Coleton (C.Rigz) is another local artist here in fort collins and I dont think I would have ever gotten on stage without his influence. I look up to him not only as the incredible artist that he is but also the person he is. He is one of the toughest people i know I am constantly asking him for advice on songs and trying to level uo my game to match his. Secondly is my homie Richard( Poles n Podiums.) We started a company together focused around our love for motorsports and he has taken over. From taking pictures at rally America in Michigan this year to the pikes peak hill climb and being showcased in the lansspace photographer of the year in Chicago. He has always pushed himself to get what he wants no off days and he is always working on something weather actual work or helping one of his friends to pursuing one of his dreams, he has inspired me to work harder chasing mine. And has shown me that is it possible if you put in the work to get there.
