Meet Samantha Call | Co-Owner of NoCoast CrossFit

We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Call and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Samantha, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
At NoCoast, we are inspired by the success of our community and the individuals within. Our community is what drives us and what sets us apart! Therefore, it is changing people lives, seeing transformations happen (physically, mentally, and emotionally) that reminds us of why we do what we do. CrossFit is half the amazing workouts and half the amazing people and community that is built within the walls of the gym. We inspire our members and they, in turn, inspire us. It is a cyclical shift toward continued progress.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At NoCoast CrossFit, our goal is meet each individual where they are at and help them progress toward their individual goals. Meaning, we are for everyone! No matter where you lie on the fitness spectrum to start, we can help you. We can modify, tailor workouts, and help you every step of the way. This is one thing that sets us apart from other gyms in the area. We are big on individualization. We cap our classes so that each individual gets coached every day. We tailor workouts toward your level of fitness, current limitations, injuries, etc. every day.
I am pleased to say that we just hit a decade of business! It is crazy to think we have been running NoCoast for 10 years! We have had some pretty immense hurdles with phases of super low membership, COVID, building changes, life struggles (like everyone), etc., and we will continue to have those. That is part of life and part of running your own business. Truth is, everyone has a struggle you likely know nothing about. Hence, why community is so important. And, no matter our struggles, I am blessed to say that our NoCoast Community/Family has always held strong and had each others back. There is truly nothing like it and I feel grateful to be a leader of a business like we have!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting town, they would, of course, have to check out our gym 🙂 Other than that, hopefully it is summertime and we can get some time outdoors. I would take them on a few hikes up in Boulder (Sanitas and Chautauqua), grab a dinner on Pearl Street. And, since I also have two small kids, a great visit would be to the Zoo and some local dinners in the Louisville, Lafayette, Ere, and Broomfield areas. With a 3 and 5 year old, all my activities outside the gym essentially revolve around them 🙂 But, getting outdoors would be key!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our entire community at NoCoast deserves recognition. Past, present, and future members – we could not do this without your love, support, and encouragement.
