We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Braiman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sara, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Our fans of course! We were at a recent event and a visitor was sent to our booth because she was told that our candles were “life-changing”. At the time, little did she know how true that was. Our candles are life changing! We not only want people to relax and enjoy nature inspired fragrance, we want our candles to be a beautiful reminder of our fans involvement in helping save endangered wildlife.

Literally, our fans are “the spark to our bright light”

For example, the 10% of each sale we give back to two Colorado conservation organizations, support rangers and their dogs who patrol poaching hotspots, promote better fishing practices for healthier oceans and protect cultural diversity by keeping places wild.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Professionally, I’ve been in the healthcare sector since 2005. However, I’ve always been an artist at heart and creating something over the years. To me, creating has always been a wonderful way to relax and to connect on a deeper level. It’s a wonderful way to get to know yourself.

Running a small business has many challenges, requires patience and long hours, but it’s worth it because it’s yours.

Candles are fun (if not challenging) to make and are definitely an extension of my healthcare background. Today, I find that we need more self love and care. Candles are known to help provide that; symbol of relaxation and peace if you will.

It may be a little cliche, but it’s powerful and true.

Be kind to yourself and all good things are wild and free.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly,

We grill at home would probably go to the mountains and do a bunch of outdoor adventures. If nearby, we would probably visit places such as Rocky Mountain Nat’l Park, Brainard Lake, Chautauqua Park, and Roxborough State Park.

We may also visit the Butterfly Pavilion and go see a concert at Red Rocks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of course! Colorado’s Inland Ocean Coalition and WILD Foundation. The two four-star wildlife conservation groups we donate to.
