We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Clodius and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, what inspires you?
I am inspired by many things! In no particular order, I’ll start with music. I can’t imagine life without it. It has always been there, and continues to be an inspiring and uniting force in many parts of my life and relationships. Life is not life without music or artistic creativity. Next would be all my relationships with loved ones. Family gatherings, time with girlfriends, travelling with my Husband, or being at home with our fur babies just fills me up and keeps me going. Professionally, I love studying people and helping them make connections about what lights them up and makes them “tick.” To be even more specific, I am really inspired and amazed with the study of archetypal human consciousness through such avenues as psychology, astrology, spirituality, and hypnosis. I could explore, read, and talk about the inner workings of the mind and the connection to the soul, forever. I like asking the big, important questions in life, and helping others explore that within themselves. It’s what I do, and even if it wasn’t part of my work, I think I would be doing that no matter what! In turn, my interactions with clients provide so much inspiration for me. I feel so honored to be able to connect and work with them in the way that I do! Lastly, compassion and helping others is everything. I am inspired by kindness in whatever form it comes.

What should our readers know about your business?
My Brand, Luna Point Hypnosis and Astrology, is about nurturing and inspiring ‘Everyday Heroes,’ so they can keep serving the world with their purposeful lives. I think we all are heroic for being born on Earth, as it is a hard place to live for so many. Sometimes we need a little guidance and inspiration for the journey. I provide a unique blend of coaching, hypnosis, and astrology services that help my clients achieve higher levels of awareness, confidence, and inspiration. I believe everyone has a purpose and my goal is to help people become more aware of who they are and to become stronger in dealing with life’s challenges. When you have somebody in your corner, encouraging and supporting you along the way, you can turn your fear into accomplishment, and your wounds into healing and purpose. I know this personally, and have utilized my own mentors and teachers along the way. Based on their needs and wishes at the time, I meet my clients where they are when they first come to see me. For those interested in Astrology, we can use this as a sort of fast-track in validating their archetypal nature and evolutionary growth points. Some are more interested in the coaching/psychology part, as they want to achieve more professionally or need help with balancing life and work. Some clients have more tangible goals like weight loss, getting over their fears, or dealing with grief. Using Hypnosis is so amazing and one of the major benefits of my practice. There is so much wisdom, healing, and power that we all have access to, if we can learn how to get quiet and utilize our subconscious mind. I get really excited in that space, the subconscious, which then leads to what some may call the ‘Higher Mind’ or the ‘Superconscious Mind.’ There is so much power and purpose in that place. I am proud of many things. It’s taken me some time to get to this place of standing confidently in what I’m here to do and what I wish to provide for my clients. I didn’t take the conventional path in my career, so I had to do a lot of work on myself to keep going. I always considered my work more on the helping/caregiving side of things, so the business part has been my biggest challenge. I didn’t start doing this work because I wanted to own my own business or be an entrepreneur. The biggest challenge was how to be authentic in marketing/social media. I had to learn all of those things and I am still learning. As I get more confident in myself and my brand, the business side is getting much easier. You don’t have to “sell” when you are truly passionate and inspired by your services. Also, I learned to ask for help and allow support into my life; and hiring people who are passionate about the things I’m not. It’s worth the money in the end and exciting to work with passionate people in different fields than mine. Yes, this has definitely been a balance between believing in my skills and intuition, while asking for help when I needed it. I’m grateful for it all.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would encourage them to come in the summertime as that is when we can really play and have fun! First, we would have already booked a Red Rocks show or looked into some of the many outdoor concert possibilities and planned the rest of the trip around that. We would go camping at some point along the river, I like to go South but there are so many places you can go! If we have a lot of time, Telluride would be a major treat, or Salida and Buena Vista. There would definitely be a day for hiking and hot springs. Depends on who it is and the goal, relaxation or exercise? Theater or Karaoke? Go to to a play at the Buell and finish with some late night dive bars and lil spots like Club Corner, El Chapultepec, Herbs Hideout, or the newer upscale Voicebox Karaoke. They get to decide what they want, Colorado has it all! If we are in Denver in the Springtime then going to a Rockies Game at Coors Field or Totally Tennyson costume party. Gotta get some amazing green chili at Annie’s Café and sample Mexican food at many mom n’ pop places around town, El Chingon for Mexico City type Mexican food and also Aguascalientes in Wheat Ridge. For healthier fare, City O City, and Watercourse. Maybe get dressed up one night and hang out at Union Station, or go to the Denver Central Market. My Husband and I were married at Hudson Gardens and they have family friendly concerts on different nights of the week. Going to one of the local breweries and bring the dogs on the patio. My friends own a place called SomePlace Else Brewery which is close Old Town Arvada which has School House Kitchen. Boulder for people-watching on Pearl Street. Golden for D Deli subs and hanging by the river. At the base of the foothills is Morrison, Evergreen, and into Mount Evans and Idaho Springs. Mountains, music, food, family, friends, dogs and done!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have many people to thank as I believe everyone who is in my life has played a pivotal role in supporting and getting me here. First, my parents for raising me to be kind and providing a wonderful family support system; including my 3 older siblings and extended STL family. Next is all my best girl-friends who I consider to be my soul sisters. My Husband is one of my biggest fans and supporters and I couldn’t do this without him in my life. Professionally I wish to thank Annie’s Café for providing my work family all those years; the Coaches Training Institute for that first inspiring place of belonging; Steven Forrest for your poetic and philosophical inspiration; Drake and Lynsi Eastburn; Dr. Linda Backman and the RavenHeart Center; and to my female mentors and coaches: Bonnie, Victoria, Jani, Debbie, and Heather. Thank you all, Shout Out to You!
