Meet Scott Aksamit | Author and Personal Development Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Aksamit and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Scott, how does your business help the community?
We help parent who have children with difficult behavior issues. Everything from temper control to finding forgiveness. We do this without punishment, bribes or ultimatums. We have classes workshops and courses to help parents DIY it or we help them achieve the results.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a personal development academy that just happens to teach martial arts. Most dojo’s focus on what brand of fighting they teach. They promote Tae Kwon Do or Jui jitsu for example. Frankly I don’t care about the martial arts style at all. We are focused on helping people improve themselves. You do this by giving them a life experience that helps them change their beliefs. We love the challenge of helping others overcome obstacles that have crippled them for years. It’s what we do best, It’s what we are most passionate about. Where other schools might post about the fighting championship they just won, we would share our students success stories and how that student overcame adversity they faced outside of the ring.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Castle Wood Canyon for a hike or Dawsons butte for a mountain bike ride. The ridge in Castle Pines for a round of golf, Diner at Sushi Den, then get a drink and frites at Bistro Vendome. Sounds like a pretty great day to me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My martial arts instructor for sure My mom and dad. Having read over 500 personal development books it’s tough to narrow it down but I would say: Authors, Charles Haanel, Wallace Wattles, Zig Zigglar, Jose Silva, Abraham Hicks and Dr. Joe Dispenza.
