We had the good fortune of connecting with Seth Woolsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Seth, what matters most to you?
The value that matters most to me is service. I want to ensure that I am living in such a way that ensures I’m giving back in whatever way I can. For me, service has really increased my spiritual wealth. I’m very uplifted when I serve others. Truly serving others, connects you with your community and the people within it. Whether that means offering discounted or free services to those who can’t afford them, or providing assistance to those who are in a time of need.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m the owner of Woolsey Photo and Film. I pride myself on being an Ozark’s photographer and videographer. Each photographer has their own style, but I believe what sets me apart is my dedication to the customer and a strong dedication to service of my community. A few of the most important lessons that I’ve learnt along the way are to #1 be grateful for what I’ve been given and what I’ve made for myself. #2 Don’t take rejection personally, you’re going to constantly put yourself out there when first building a business, and countless people are going to reject you. Become comfortable with that rejection and don’t take it personally. #3, Invest and serve others. Investing in your community and community members is going to enrich your soul. It’s going to build and establish connections, and its going to make you feel good about yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a week long trip, we’re going to explore downtown Denver and likely stop off at Meow Wolf. We’re going to take a day trip to Idaho Spring Colorado and white water raft. If open, we would stop off as Casa Bonito in Lakewood. Being an outdoorsman, we’re going to have to hike within Rocky Mountain National Park and see what wildlife we can spot. For sure, we’re going to dedicate a day to locating and photographing moose which are one of my favorite animals.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a few people in my life that deserve a credit in my story. First off is my wife, who always encourages me to do the things that are uncomfortable and unnerving. My friend Mark, who always keeps me grounded and morally guided, and my friend Joey who always encourages me to take risks when I’m by nature very conservative with the chances that I do take.
