We had the good fortune of connecting with Shurvone Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shurvone, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always had a mind of an entrepreneur and business owner. I was not always very confident in my abilities to really take myself serious. I have always tried different entrepreneur opportunities, It was not until COVID-19 happened that I knew I had an opportunity and time to step out and go for it. I also wanted to learn enough about my business and the process of running the business to help others. My goal for the business is not to just make money but to help other in the process.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the CEO and Founder of La’ BossPreneur Marketing and Publishing LLC that I launched in 2022, I believe what sets me a part is first I am proud African American small business owner. I provider a services that over delivers, to provider help, guidance to my customers, allowing them to leave me completely satisfied. I am most proud that I am able to meet my clients where they are in their journey and help them to advance because of my services.

The journey to becoming a business owner was not easy it was very challenging, because I did not truly believe in myself ,it took me many years to believe I could be successful. I did a lot of research, self teaching, taking classes, Oh and finally lots of trial and errors. However those things that did not work helped me to figure out what worked.

Whenever faced with challenges, I continue to keep going and never give up, I seek help and research until I get my answer.

The most valuable lesson I have learned is to never give up, there is always someone to help you, there is always a resource, a class to help you achieve your goals. I have also learned that it is a must to believe in myself and to my best to stay positive in all situations.

I want to world to know that I am no better than anyone else, the only difference is I keep going and never give up on my dreams.

I am an 5x best selling author, and will soon release my new book called Confidence Without Regret- The Butterfly Experience “Overcoming Low Self-Esteem To Living In Your Purpose. I wrote this book because I was tired of hiding and wanted people to see how I survived and became the person I am today. I also wrote the book to help others to live their best life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take on a tour of my city in Brentwood , California – We would eat at Sweeny’s for dinner, visit my favorite coffee and tea spot called Chill Tea and Coffee

I would take them to San Francisco to see pier 39, tour of the city, cross the Bay Bridge and do some shopping in the city

Sausalito is another beautiful location to hang out and have dinner and shop

Visit the Alameda beach

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Family means everything to me and I would like to dedicate this to my three beautiful daughter’s Danielle, Destiny and Rebekah Wright. I would also like to dedicate this to my husband Roger who is my biggest supporter. Finally every experience in my life that has lead me to where I am in my life now.
