We had the good fortune of connecting with Sirine Swed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sirine, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was a VP of sales in a Pharma company. I was laid off when I was pregnant with my son. I’ve always loved makeup and wearing false lashes. I did however feel there was a need in the market for more natural and comfortable lashes. I also wanted to create lashes that can be worn everyday. I figured as a new mom, it was the best time to start my own business and fill a void in the lash category. That’s how Battington came about. Our first product when the company was launched was our line of silk lashes. Each lash is handmade out of 100 % silk and can be used 25 times. The lashes are made out of a cotton band which make them super comfortable and easy to apply.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

We truly want to make every person that wears our lashes feel special and more confident. As a mom and an entrepreneur I know how important confidence is.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots in the city are Wash Park. I would take her to see the park. I love red rocks and feel it’s a must see in the city. I would take her to my favorite restaurants Quality Italian, Sushi Den, and Cholon. We would get spa treatments at the Woodhouse Spa and I would take her to Aviano for coffee.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would dedicate my shoutout to my husband who has been super supportive of Battington and my journey with it. My son who motivates me to want to succeed everyday. They both play a huge role in my motivation and hustle with Battington.
