We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacie Rudy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacie, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Balance has changed over time because my demand has changed over time. In the beginning, I was raising 3 under 3 and doing everything which included learning what it means to be a business owner and making all the products.

As time has gone by I have learned to delegate also my demands of life have changed with my kids going back to school it has given me more time.

Time management and prioritizing are always a dance. Being flexible and realistic is my go-to. I am not amazon nor am I trying to compete my turnaround time with amazon. 2 weeks is what I tell people and I can normally get things done in a week but giving myself 1 week of cushion because I need to leave room for life and my priorities.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Rudy Adventures outdoor hoodies are made with a high-performance fabric that is lightweight and compact. These hoodies are lined with unique design work from a local artist. I am most proud of the quality of these hoodies, the way they are constructed and the materials are the BEST. We are not cutting any short corners with our product. Where we are today is a big milestone, after coming off of covid our business is showing that it is strong and will continue on. I want the world to know about our real-life family that is behind this brand and our integrity.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and my community of makers are the SHOUT OUTS in my journey with Rudy Adventures.

My family has been right by my side through thick and thin, they have been the ones to absorb the hard long hours. They have also been there for all the victories and benchmarks that have gotten me to where my business is today.

My community is my people, my people who are fellow makers and customers. I have learned so much from both groups of people. They have encouraged me EVERY step of the way. My community is a source of other makers and entrepreneurs who are learning along with me every step of the way, some are years ahead of me others are years behind me. My community has become my friends who have shown so much support in being a part of the brand story as they inspire Rudy Adventures.
