We had the good fortune of connecting with Stefani Bucher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stefani, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
From an early age I was highly artistic and coming up with original ideas has always come naturally to me. Listening to music and traveling were constant inspirations to my creative mind.
With a fine arts degree from Florida State University, I’ve been able to master my skills and dive deeper into the world of visual art when My STEF.FX project and artistic career has always felt like a higher calling. Translating my emotions into art has been my way of processing life and early in life my creativity seemed to define me as a person.
Creating isn’t something I chose to do, it’s just always been who I am. Making and sharing my art is my way of connecting with others. I’ve always felt called to share my experiences, challenge the way people think, and to leave a lasting impact. During College I began pursuing a visual art career in the music industry because music has always been my lifeline. Music has helped me heal through many traumatic times. It speaks to me on a deep level, and creating visuals lets me share that connection, turning sound into something a whole crowd can see and feel.
All of my art reflects on a part of my journey, ideas I’m passionate about, and real world issues. I now am looking forward to growing my platform to a size that could inspire som real change.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My visual art is deeply personal and uniquely rooted in my real-life experiences. I think there is a slight over saturation of visual artists out there experimenting with 3D-generated and AI visuals. I think what sets me apart is that my art is very personal, the majority of my video content is filmed by me—showcasing the people I love, the places I’ve traveled, and the moments that have shaped me. So far, I’ve documented my adventures across five continents, weaving nature, culture, and human connection into my work. My goal is for audiences to feel something real when they see my visuals—to connect with the imagery, to be inspired to appreciate the earth, and to recognize the beauty in the world around them. Beyond nature, I also love incorporating fire performers, festival installations, and live painters into my work, bringing more elements of our creative community into live stage performances.

Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. When I chose to leave corporate graphic design and move from Florida to Colorado to pursue a career in music production, my parents were definitely a little worried about the instability of working in entertainment, especially during the COVID era. It took years of hard work, sleepless nights, and constantly proving to both myself and others that I could turn this dream into reality. Working in nightlife is demanding—it takes a toll on your mind and body, and you have to develop strong discipline to stay professional and mentally grounded. While working live events, most of the time, I’m the only female in my environment and i’m often questioned if I am capable of my job. Over time, I’ve learned to ignore anyone who questions my talent and only work with teams that share the same level of integrity and professionalism that I hold myself to. If I feel uncomfortable in an environment, I walk away because my sobriety and my art matter more to me than any opportunity. STEF.FX isn’t just a brand; it’s an extension of who I am. My art is my emotional outlet—it’s my therapy, my way of making sense of the world, and my way of bringing people together. I’ve always promised myself to be real, whether in private, in public, or on social media. If my work can inspire someone, make them feel seen, or remind them to cherish the world around them, then I know I’m doing what I’m meant to do.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people who have played a huge role in my journey, and I’m beyond grateful for each of them. First, I have to give a massive shoutout to Dubyes Music—he was the first person who really got me into the electronic production scene and set me on this path. Through him, I met Franz, who became my mentor from the very start, helping me shape my vision into a real brand.

I also want to recognize UTAW Visuals and VJ Kobra, who were incredibly kind in guiding me through learning the ins and outs of the Live VJing softwares and even helped me land my first live show bookings. And lastly, two people who have been crucial to my growth: Meduso and Sacred Snow. These insanely talented producers have believed in me and my STEF.FX project from the start, and I can’t wait to keep collaborating with them in the future. There are so many others who have supported me along the way, and I’m endlessly grateful for this community.
