Meet Stephanie Carpenter | Salon owner / Master Stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Carpenter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
To really listen to people. To take the time to slow down and connect with people on a whole other level.

What should our readers know about your business?
I found my passion or it found me ? It’s always been an amazing creative outlet. I’d say when I got really serious about being there for my clients is when it changed my life. The craft has so many avenues and it’s all what you want to make out of it. Being a professional in the industry pushes me to always move forward and to stay inspired. My product line is a very key element in the big picture. To believe in something is so solid especially when your trying different paths and seeing where it takes you. I basically started over once I moved here to Colorado and had to rebuild a whole new client base/ business. I started at a wonderful salon in Boulder and after sometime I decided to open a small salon. I kept some of the the same culture I helped build in Florida at my previous salons. I decided to continue to use Davines hair products because of what they do for the environment. I kept a professional attitude but also a personal experience with my clients.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d say check out Denver Downtown and take a walk around union station. For a bite to eat check out hop daddy burger and sit outside .
I recently visited meow wolf and I’d say that’s a for sure while your here.
Take a day and explore red rocks and the trails around there , possibly catch a show (it’s amazing)
If your more of a park person check out Denver’s wash park and go rollerblading !
Take a day to explore Boulder visit pearl street and check out avanti for a drink and some food and check out the amazing views from the rooftop. Takes short drive to the canyon road waterfall !
If your here for the warmer months my 100% activity is to rent a SUP and check out one of the lakes for a breathtaking view of the mountains on the water.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I defiantly have a shoutout to my family in Florida and specifically my brother Lonie (owner of Mode Aveda in Gainesville FL) He’s always been a sounding board and an anchor in my career throughout the years. The times I felt most alone Ive always had him there right by my side.
